theaceofclubzsays...The test is here. I got a 93.4% - two wrong. Some are pretty tricky.
Zonbiesays...66.67 % - But I'm not a US Citizen
Very interesting though - A few think I did not know Some of course were educated guesses - some of the topics I have not ever covered - great post - and makes me wonder- how many policitians are trying to pass laws that they 'believe' they can pass?
Lurchsays...93.94% with 2 questions wrong.
Some of the questions are a little vague or subjective though. I got number 13 and 30 wrong. Number 13 is taking the life work of four major philosopher's and condensing them all into a short simplified statement. Number 30 is still being argued today without consensus. Number 4 is a little tricky as well. I was sitting on that one for awhile before making a final choice. Answers B and D are technically both correct since both of those topics came up in the debate. I tried looking it up again to see if I was remembering it incorrectly and couldn't really find a definitive answer. Still... the average results are pretty sad.
jimnmssays...30 out of 33 — 90.91%
And *promote (I should have done that before casting that 10th vote)

The test is here.
Read the links under Survey on the left side of the page, it paints a pretty scary picture of what we've become in the US.
HollywoodBobsays..."Hey, nobody every said that you had to be a genius to be a politician."
It would be nice if we could try electing the best and brightest, but they're usually too smart to get into politics.
volumptuoussays...The way Cynk talks about "elected officials" scores, he makes it seem like he's talking about Senators and Congress members. When in reality, the test states:
"Of the 2,508 People surveyed, 164 say they have held an elected government office at least once in their life."
So, 164 ppl who've been elected to some sort of office at least once in their lifetime (school board supers, judges, commissioners, etc) took this test. That's one hundred and sixty four people, of which, we know zero about who these people are, and what offices they held.
Cynk does this a lot. Loves to omit and cherry-pick.
Zifnabsays...75.76%, but I'm not an American nor do I live there...
Ornthoronsays...72.73%, and I am Norwegian...
Drachen_Jagersays...79%, 26 out of 33 and I'm not American.
How can Americans score so low?
Haldaugsays...78.79%, 26 out of 33, Norwegian...
supersaiyan93says...93.94%. 31 out of 33. Missed 7 and 8.
Trancecoachsays..."You answered 31 out of 33 correctly — 93.94 %"
I missed #8 & #15.
For the record, I didn't need a test to demonstrate how little our "elected officials" know about American civics. They demonstrate their ignorance every time I read the paper.
cybrbeastsays...You answered 27 out of 33 correctly — 81.82 %
I live in the Netherlands
