ObsidianStormMan I remember when Dave had his short-lived morning show and it was awesome. It made me a fan.
Oh, and wouldn't it be more correct to say that Joaquin was channeling Andy?
He is the dead one of the pair after all...
csnel3says...I'm old enought to remember watching his skits on SNL. This was classic Andy Kaufman. Even though I know its an act... He still makes me uncomfortable when I watch him. He was a genius.
I think Joaquin may just be a nut though. Or he stole this act. Good find.
kymbosHe's awesome.
MemorareHe was a self-absorbed prick hiding behind the title Performance Artiste.
yoghurtThat was genius. He did his comedy act for the interview and did the interview material for his act.
XaxOh man, the eyes! Hilarious!
ObsidianStormI thought self-absorbed prick = Performance Artiste...
PaybackLet's play Twister, let's play Risk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
blankfistBrilliant! Kaufman was an absolute genius.
Joaquin Phoenix wishes he was Andy Kaufman. By the way, I'm pretty sure Phoenix's entire burly rapper shtick is all an act. From what I hear, Casey Affleck is filming a documentary about method acting, and the whole point is to watch Phoenix to go into character for a year without breaking it.
dagComment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
I've never seen this one, thanks so much for posting it. The ending was superb!
