His incredulity is high because his logic fails. He's not accounting for all the factors, there's more to it than just a redneck hatred for gays.

It's really a question of what american society as a whole has a problem with more than just one news station. Every complaint filed against a publicly broadcasted network has to be logged and they usually just fizzle out but occasionally the complaints lead to fines and if enough are filed against one network they could be taken off the air by the FCC.

If you want to complain about something, get on the gay bashers who lead to homosexual taboos in a large portion of society.
