articianSo.. How does the noose that animal catchers use not choke them? Or does it?
EMPIREsays...That was probably the saddest dog I have ever seen. Poor little guy... he truly was broken inside.
I love that moment when they get in the car, and he passes the dog to the woman, and then pets him, and the dog keeps his eyes closed. It's almost as he's saying "I'm going to be ok now. I'm going to be ok"
Porksandwichsays...I think the noose does choke them slightly, dog necks aren't like humans. They got a lot more muscle...and their hide to protect their airway and blood flow/oxygen circulation.

newtboyI really wish more people were prosecuted for abandoning their animals. Pets are a responsibility, not an accoutrement or toy. To me it's like abandoning your learning disabled child...to me there's simply no excuse except an unexpected death of the parent(s).
If you aren't prepared to take care of your animals for life under all conditions and possibilities, just don't have animals.
bramankpQueue the slow piano music to help make it sad and the assumption that he was "frightened of human touch". Maybe he was scared because he'd been trapped in a noose and if it were a mass of jello holding the other end he'd still be scared? Not saying he wasn't a candidate to be rescued but no need to be overly melodramatic about it.
SveNitoRsays...I actually agree with this. To melodramatic and they were way too fast and "aggressive" in their approach of the dog. A good deed, but quite clumsy and probably caused the dog more stress than necessary.

Chairman_woosays...Man I'm such a sucker for stuff like this.....sobbing like a baby!
newtboyI'm on the fence with this. The dog was obviously really frightened before the noose came out. A stray that runs away from part of a burger is terrified.
They could have taken their time and caught it slower though. They certainly scared the crap out of it when it was caught, not surprisingly. It likely had trouble seeing or moving with that matted hair, and was also likely abused in the year it was on the street. A nice end to the story (I'm assuming it's been adopted), but it could have been a better beginning.
I'm just glad there wasn't any Sarah McLachlan.

Fairbssays...The video said they were in Compton which is usually considered a place not to mess around in. You can see windows had iron bars covering them and there were beware of dog signs. Other than that, it didn't LOOK that bad. It may be why they wanted to get out of there quickly though and not spend a day at it.
