A Sneak Peek at Michael Moore's "SiCKO"

See the whole movie on June 29th. The movie opens with an uninsured carpenter with severed digits who must decide if he wants doctors to reattach his ring finger for $12,000 or his middle finger for $60,000 -- "Sicko's" central thrust is to hold up models of superior, government-provided care in France, Canada and (in a twist that has landed Moore in hot water with the U.S. Treasury Department) Cuba.

America is one of the only major modern countries without a universal health care system that isn't completely rested on the individual. Ours may not be the worst, but I'm sure the ones that are worse are MUCH worse and the ones that are better are MUCH better. What happened to trying to number one for America? Are we trying so hard to be number one in disfigured and dying due to our "disease industry", as Jello Biafra so well put it?
