teebeenzsays...And that kids is how not to understand the story you're filming.

I haven't laughed that hard in a while, definite upvote.
Sagemindsays..."Sweet Home, Alabama"
spoco2says...It is a great show, one of my favourites, but for a couple of seasons now it's been feeling a little forced and contrived. The 'stunt' portions of the show seem more and more scripted and less and less spontaneous. The amount of stuff you have to figure they have pre planned and got permission for and organised for each of them now really takes the 'fun' out of those segments.
My favourite segment, still by far, is the one where they took a Reliant Robin and turned it into a spacecraft. You have to watch the whole segment, not just the final launch, to get the real feeling of amazing accomplishment that it was.
And sadly they have never come close to that for me again.
arghnesssays...Good coverage, missed out many observations about Americans and their vehicles, or Stig's American cousin.
In fairness, Top Gear seems to have had more good things to say about American cars recently.
jubuttibsays...The only good things about American cars I've heard them say in a while were that the Cadillac CTS-V was pretty good (well, the suspension was developed at the Nordschleife, if you can get it around there you can't be too far off), Jeremy liked the ZR1 (at first, he's changed his mind since), Hammond liked the Challenger (he would...) and that the new Camaro isn't horrible (but that's an Australian car, all the important bits are by Holden). Have there been other remarks I've missed/forgotten?>> ^arghness:

Morganthsays...Now, to get back to what the story should have covered more, namely, what is the appeal of the show, I think it's just who men want to be. It's middle-aged men acting like a bunch of boys, because honestly, most of us aren't terribly interested in growing up. We don't want to be politically correct. I completely failing this morning to articulate it well, but it's just boys being boys and everything the boy in us has always wanted to do.
Nebosukesays...I've watched all of the modern series (now past 15 seasons). Great show, slightly informative, always entertaining.
