If Al-Qaeda were hiding in storage sheds instead of caves the war on terror would be a cakewalk.

Seriously though, I've heard that the gun can only be fired for x continuous seconds before the plane stalls. Anyone know if that's a myth?

Can this be mounted to the front of my 2008 Silverado HD?

I think you might have some problems with that, you know, given its size:

I'll sure give you props for trying though.

I'm gonna go ahead and call myth on this one. The recoil force of the gun is great, and can indeed slow the plane down some, but the thrust that the engines of the plane provide is still over twice that of the gun recoil. Add to that the fact that there is basically no situation where you would fire this gun and not be in a dive, and the fact that there would almost never be any reason to fire it for more then ~two seconds continuesly and I don't see how it could realistically stall the plane.

That gun is usually fired during a dive. from what I've heard, pilots like to acquire their targets inverted, looking out their canopies, roll and fir in a dive, "rudder stomping" to waggle the nose, spraying the target, so whatever action the recoil has on the airframe acts as a brake, so it's no big deal.

I know all this because I played the video game.
