A lot has been made of the girl's T-shirt and earrings design. Why shouldn't the daughter of a soldier, who wants her father to come home from war, wear a peace sign? It makes perfect sense to me that she should be all for peace. I was all for the disbanding of the UK Royal Navy when my dad was away on ships just before the Falklands War.
