@Krupo: not that I know anything about the subject first hand, but it seems to me that pilots, even in "the shit" rarely make comments like that, in that kind of a frightened tone, over comm. It definitely sounded scared / scary as hell to me. Contrast with the pilot's coolness at the end of this video.

I'm of the belief that it was just a mistake at the Network - someone hit "play" on a commercial by accident, then said, "oh, crap," and canceled it.
