Nothing new. Here in Germany there already are peaplo having 4000 liter tanks with vegetable oil to use it as gas for their cars - since 1L Diesel costs 1,37$ and the oil only about 0,99$.

A month ago I've been to Milan to go to a festival. Me and a friend of mine just came back from shopping (beer... lots of beer) and we saw the festival-area was open. Since we didn't have had any information about re-entry etc. we went there to ask. When we were there trying to find someone speaking English or German, some cops thought we looked suspicious. So they searched our backpacks... then they started laughing, because they thought we were that stupid to smuggle in those loads of beer. They didn't stop laughing to hear our explanation ... I hate to be made fun of.
They even wanted to take our beer away. They even threatened my friend to take her with them... for whatever reason.
After a while they let us go, because someone from the festival explained our situation to them.
My worst experience in Italy so far.
