Ron Paul Runs Rings Around Ignorant Reporter With The Truth

BrknPhoenix says...

@Grimm
There's a little program called "Hooked on Phonics" you might want to look into. I said "illogically large libertarian population". That means it's illogical that it's so large, not that the people themselves are illogical. 6th grade reading comprehension right there for ya.

BTW, I said it's illogical (and it is) because I've seen a lot of polls taken among internet denizens that indicate libertarians on the net have a majority (I've no doubt they do here at videosift as well) but IRL polls indicate a completely different result. For some reason the internet just seems to attract libertarians much more than other ideologies.

@choggie
Lol, my statement that Ron Paul won't win because people that don't agree with him won't vote for him is bullshit? Perhaps you should check out how elections work again. See, people form an opinion, then they go vote based on that opinion. If Ron Paul doesn't win, it's because people did not choose his set of opinions to represent them. I do not vote for Ron Paul because his opinions do not come close to representing my own. Where's the bullshit again?

Check how Ron Paul is actually doing in the polls. It's a matter of simple math.

I won't respond to the rest of your post since it kind of went into a strange tirade about monkeys and conspiracies that I really don't have time for. And if you were trying to say that the election is going to be rigged I REALLY don't have time to go there.

Jon Stewart Slams Bill Bennett On Gay Marriage

@J-Rova
Just because something is about money to you doesn't mean that it is about money to everyone else. Other people have this thing called a heart and some other thing called a soul to inspire them to care about things beyond the material. They're actually pretty handy.

@people supporting polygamy
Have to disagree. The whole concept of marriage is a caring committed relationship between two people. To extend it beyond, you may as well just eliminate the institution of marriage completely. I support gay marriage for the reason that I believe it still adheres to the basic principles of marriage, but polygamy? That's against everything that marriage stands for in the first place.

Well, Irishman, I'm glad you can somehow take a slight comment about how I do not prefer Ron Paul and turn it into how "simple and limited" political debate is in America. You made the point just fine yourself by first applying a label to me, then somehow applying it to America. Oh, and you also made an assumption, falsely, that I haven't voted. I have.

Your statement is a most excellent example of fail. People won't vote for Ron Paul not because they won't listen to him, but because they don't agree with him. Don't let opinion polls on the internet fool you. Even though Ron Paul does well on the internet, and libertarians just fall all over him (polls I've seen also indicate that strangely those with libertarian beliefs have a stranglehold on the internet, somehow) the majority of America feels differently.

It's pretty asinine to assume that because people don't agree with *you* that it means that political debate is limited. You seem to suggest that if someone doesn't like Ron Paul or his stance on the issues, it's because they weren't paying attention. No, quite different. Maybe they just disagree with him. As I do. I simply didn't feel the need to say why on videosift, of all places. Somehow you take that and manage to twist it into "limited political debate."

In summary, DIAF. This is one vote that will not be going for Ron Paul and I don't feel I owe you an explanation.

I hate to criticize, especially when someone that is with you guys did the work, but I honestly prefer just about everything from the old layout over this one. Sorry

It may or may not also be important to note... I'm not sure of your demographics, but many older individuals will not be able to use the site. I'm not an older individual myself, so it doesn't matter to me, just saying. As people get older, their ability to see the color blue decreases. I'm not an expert so I don't know how much, but judging by how extremely light the color of blue used widely in this layout is, I'd be willing to bet a lot of older people couldn't see any links at all.

@lmayliffe

You need only look at yourself to see my point. But apparently you're too busy patting yourself on the back for educating the stupid theists about how stupid they are. Your argument had remarkably little to do with what I said. Instead, you just resorted to attacks on my intelligence. Since I didn't claim I was a theist, you just decided to say "I don't know what words mean" instead.

I still submit that you are annoying. I so far have not been proven incorrect.

@lmayliffe

You and those like you continue to prove that atheists can be a lot more annoying than Christians will ever be.

Personally, I consider myself somewhere in between, and while I find both sides annoying, atheists hands down win as the most irritating side. I may find a Christian trying to convert me once a YEAR if that. Atheists on the other hand, I see their BS spewed around every nook and cranny. There is no hiding from the crusading atheist. You're more fanatical than those you criticize.

Most of you have an attitude of HEY LOOK AT ME, I HAVE AN OPINION!!!!! while most Christians don't even seem to let you know they are Christian... at least until a rampaging atheist comes to town.

Everyone that exceeds the speed limit also cannot maintain control of a vehicle? Don't see the relation. It seems that people that actually drive at higher speeds without crashing are maintaining great control over the vehicle.

Standard atheist argument that I've heard 100 times before, this time it's just in cartoon form. I'd upvote if it was something creative, but it was just a rehash of old talking points. It wasn't even much on the animation. The drawings were okay but they didn't do much in the moving department.

Normally I'd non-vote this, but I upvoted just to spite the people that voted against it. I'm all for downvoting things if they are genuinely offensive... which I don't think that was. It was just a little bit of comedy (albeit not very funny) and Jesus isn't a little glass doll that breaks when someone makes light of the situation a bit.

iPhone Bill

It's not just text messages. It contains your activity on the internet too. For example if you do something on the internet, it might say "Data Transfer". On the same line it also says the size of the transfer, 40kb or whatever. For what the transfer contained, it says "data". As though one could not figure that out on their own.
