money well spent.
Our economy is solid and stable.
Our citizens are over educated.
Our healthcare system is #1.
Our main emphasis is on scientific research.
We use mostly alternative, sustainable, renewable enegry technology.
plus we spend the most on the military... but you need to have the best military to make these other things happen. There is obviously no other way.
^Oh my god, the sarcasm.. the sarcasm, man.. it burns!!
$711 Billion a year? That obviously doesn't account for past military debt such as that archaic war that was happening last year and the year before and the year before that.
I'm starting to suspect this whole "GDP" thing could really stand for Gullible Dipshit People, because I think their numbers are way fucking wrong.
^ The key on the chart says it's 2008 spending. Seems to match other sources, like this one.
Joe Stiglitz wrote a book saying it'd really be $3 trillion for the Iraq war, total. I'll amazon it to the post.
Edit: Guess you can't amazon a blog post: http://www.amazon.com/Three-Trillion-Dollar-War-Conflict/dp/0393067017
