saw the endgadget editors playing with this tech demo. certainly looks cool, but i'd like to see how well it works in games.

being only $100 vs kinect's $150 helps though. and xbox 360 slim should have packed in a blu ray player.

This is an aspect of video games that was long overdue for the Mythbusters treatment, so, kudos to the geniuses who made it happen. After mounting the camera on a Z-bar hitched to the truck's bumper, they then blacked out the windows so that the driver was forced to use the third-person perspective. God are they driving slow. And still hitting the traffic cones and inflatable pedestrians.

Why does it still boggle my mind that driving a video-game car like a real world car is just as disorienting and deadly as driving a real-world car like a video-game car? What this needs now is Grant Imahara to hook up the steering wheel to an Xbox 360 controller, so that the guy driving can drive with third-person controls and a third-person view in the first person. And I just hurt my brain.

How does Microsoft manage to make even the coolest ideas seem incredibly square and doofy?

Microsoft no longer sends boxes for red-ringed XBoxes. They send a shipping label. I found this out when I had to send mine in for repair a few months back.

For me, there was such a long gap between my computer mouse and keyboard counter strike sessions and my current xbox 360 period (5 years ago, no, longer now!) that I didn't notice the change in controls. And thanks to Counter Strike on PC (Jesus, that was over 5 years ago? I'm such a pussy), I will never play online multiplayer again (I'm a silver xbl member).

This is EXACTLY how I felt when I was playing counter strike (minus the 'learning the buttons' part). God damn AWP whores.

Super touching family moment, seeing a negative in this is hyper-sensitive, this seemed like perfect parenting to me, you can almost feel that they're going to be observant of his play time, the mother even mentions something about his dad playing with him. That's the right way to do it folks.
