TAC 20 years of effectively, somewhat graphic PSAs
Texas has similar population to Australia, and the entire country had 1,437 deaths that year (Vic had a population around 5 million). Your point does still stand, but the ratio is only double and not 10 times.
303? In 2008 there were 3,479 deaths in Texas alone. Maybe we should hire their ad people.

William Shatner for Commodore VIC-20
i loved my VIC-20, got it in 1983 and spent many late nights programming the hell out of its 3.5 kilobytes of RAM.
What Happens When A Woman Abuses A Man In Public?
No, not take Weinstein for example, that is an entirely different case and it undermines your position to use such an obvious straw man.
Society promotes the concept that men are violent, women are not. Any man that uses physical violence on a women is evil and if a woman raises a hand to a man and he strikes her in defense, he would still be the one that had to explain himself. Look at the Duluth model re: domestic violence sometime to see how truly baked in the myth that men are the perps and women are the vics...
https://medium.com/iron-ladies/men-are-still-pigs-the-politicization-of-domestic-violence-2cfa7488c204 (written by a woman for noting)
Particularly salient.
It’s clear to me that despite the fact the Duluth Model has proven to be worthless, programs still adhere to the same principles. Men are still the automatic perpetrators, women are always victims. What’s worse is the men under attack by violent wives have no way of protecting themselves. Their right to self-defense in domestic violence cases has been cancelled.
I'm all for acknowledging that differences between the sexes is an absolutely real thing, but the long and the short of it is that women are basically allowed to assault men almost without consequences, but in the reverse situation the man would (justifiably) have the book thrown at him. And while men do have the physical advantage (although not always), they are hamstrung by society. The mere threat of a rape accusation (or far worse, the accusation that the husband has been abusing the kids) would silence most men in a heartbeat because they understand that the police, the judge, the social workers will believe the woman first.
Violence is wrong as is giving women a free pass because they rolled vagina in the game of life.
Fair enough, but these are separate issues, I agree with the premise of the video. But, while it would be a mistake to assume that men cannot be victims of abuse, it would also be a mistake to assume general equivalency. Take, Weinstein for example. Once he'd isolated his victims, they had to handle their situation with the added fear that he may physically overpower and rape them. With the gender roles reversed, the situation would in most cases not be the same. There is an extra dimension that needs to be considered resulting from the biological fact that men are bigger and stronger than women. I believe you do need to consider gender, even though it would be nice if you didn't.
Private Snafu in "Censored", war film from 1944
When my dad got shipped out, he had set up a code beforehand.
The first letter of first letter home would tell his younger brother where he was headed.
Started with the word "I."
So Uncle Vic knew he was going to India.
How Oldschool ROM Cartridge Games Worked
Blast from the past, I miss my VIC-20. I learned to program in BASIC on it, that 3.5K of RAM was painful. So you gave variables one or two-letter names and borrowed the screen memory when you didn't have to display anything.
My teacher at the time despised BASIC and told me to learn Pascal. I finally understood his contempt when my first computer job involved reverse-engineering somebody's BASIC spaghetti code on a Kaypro computer.
The Monster 6502 is a giant version of a famous microchip
I was surprised at how many people other than myself were interested in this one. I thought I'd get two votes tops.
The comment above this one explains our interest, this is the chip that powered the computers (Pet, vic-20/vc-20, c64, Apple II) and game consoles (Atari 2600, NES) of our childhood.
The OTHER chip that would have attracted some interest is the Zilog Z-80, which was the 80s equivalent of the arduino (but also, earlier, used in computers like the TRS-80 and gameboy and...). The minimum required to use that chip for a project was a 9v battery and an eeprom, and at one point they cost about a dollar, so they were used for everything.
It's not hard to be swept up in his obvious fascination with the subject matter, but man... that's soooo boring sounding.
The Monster 6502 is a giant version of a famous microchip
I taught myself machine code the commodore Vic 20 and used the Rockwell Aim 65 and the PET computer in collage which also used the 6502.
After collage I went into medical field service and never looked an another line of code.
Fond memories.
Old computers did it better!
I miss my Commodore VIC-20. Got it in 1983 and learned how to program in BASIC with 3.5 kb of RAM. Backed up programs onto cassettes. Spent many hours playing Radar RatRace.
Kuhn SW 4014 Bale Wrapper
The idea of the wrap is to stop rain from damaging the hay, so I doubt it would let moisture out either. The bale shouldn't rot though, since part of the process is that you only bale dry grass (or you risk a haystack fire).
The other way of storing grass is to cut it green and ferment it into silage.
I found that oddly mesmerizing.
I do wonder about the wrap. Does it allow the moister out or would the bail develop rot?

Meshuggah
Few metal bands survive for 25 consecutive years, and even fewer retain a reputation for consistency over such a long period the way Meshuggah have. We already knew that the Swedish djent progenitors were slotted to play this year's edition of Bonnaroo in June, filling the bad-trip-inducement slot that Swans occupied last year. Unsurprisingly, they've also announced a short North American tour built around that date and their ensuing appearance at Quebec's Amnesia Rock Fest. The tour is being billed as a 25th-anniversary celebration for the band, and it also includes Between the Buried & Me on its non-festival dates. Meshuggah are also holding a poll in which fans can help the band decide what their set list will include by voting for one song from each album in their catalog.
The tour will hit NYC on 6/21 at Best Buy Theater. Tickets for that show haven't gone on sale yet, but keep an eye out. In the meantime, enjoy a live video (of mosh action, natch) from Meshuggah's last NYC appearance and check out the full set of dates below...

Sydney Mardi Gras 2013 | Police Brutality
Uncalled for, a Police officer in Vic just lost 130k for doing something which i personally thought was self defense. This guy didn't seem aggressive at the time the film was rolling, would be interesting to see why he was arrested in the first place.
