Performance notes: Very sloppy. I'd recommend that whenever you perform things that are rhythmically challenging for you, that you should first solidify those rhythms at slower tempos. Once you have mastered it at a slow tempo, gradually increase the tempo until you can comfortably perform at the desired tempo. A metronome would be very helpful. That'll be $40, see you next week.

Ukulele's have recently become hugely popular in Australia, as the musical instrument of choice for young music students. I'll have to show this video to a young chap I know who has just started recently It certainly beats the recorder, which is what I had to study.

I could be crazy but his inflection and tone conjure up notions of Willie Nelson for me. Not saying he's not original, just a similarity.
