"According to Midland County officials as of ~3pm (EST) 5/20/2020, the Sanford dam may still be somewhat intact but they can't tell because it's underwater (they're using the term "failed" because it's spilling over, not necessarily because the structure has collapsed). Latest images of the Sanford dam appear to show overflow limited to the emergency spillway area. The current hope is that the dam itself will hold long enough for the upstream flow from the Wixom lake breach to recede. If the Sanford dam fails, areas downstream are looking at 500-year flood levels. Local and state police have already begun staging in a number of downstream areas, presumably to facilitate evacuations if the dam fails."

The other week the When the plane went down is San Fran. There were 72 killings / shootings in Chicago and no National Media. From a gun violence point of view and there is a lot of that going around, still no one cares.


The Zimmerman/ Martin issue was made a race issue from the National Race Baiters Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. They went down to Sanford and goated the DA for the arrest of Zimmerman. The circus show had begun. Even during and after the trail, MSNBC is pulling the race card. No wonder the country is divided.

The only defining issue to have is the state of mind of Zimmerman when he pulled the trigger. There was no defining evidence of willful intent or self defense hence he was acquitted.

I took it to mean maybe he is a psychopath, but the police in Florida have given him reason to think they wouldn't care if someone shot a black person. ie. A jab at the Sanford police and George Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman is on trial currently for 2nd degree murder. Sure, the Sanford cops were slow on the investigation, but there was sufficient blowback to cause the police chief to step down. We'll just see if the 'stand your ground' law is applicable in Zimmerman's defense. From the information in the video, there wasn't any provocation or attack mentioned to warrant any self-defense to bring 'stand your ground' into play. I think the guy in this video is just what he seems to be.

I thought she meant it ironically. I would have said it's just hard to convey sarcasm in that faux "white" voice she is using. But the name marks her as East Indian. So maybe it is stupidity.

Edit: No, she is mixed, being half black/half Indian, and a member of the Black Journalists Association, so it can't be stupidity or ignorance. In this case, I stand by the "faux voice" theory.
