he's most likely russian police in plains clothes. i've seen tons of video's where the police beat the shit out of punks to get them to stop fighting or to go away.

The whole reason we have laws and people to enforce them in the first place. Without the dispassionate enforcement of the law, we have mob rule.

There is no question that this guy "deserved" a beating. HOWEVER, we cannot allow our "peace" officers to deliver that well deserved beating at the time of arrest. Their function at that point is to secure the suspect, and prevent any harm from happening to any more people, including the suspect.

Anybody who cannot prioritize their job responsibilities above their rage MUST be removed from law enforcement, ASAP.

Kudos to this department for firing those officers swiftly, but they still messed up by not delivering the video to the suspects defense counsel in a timely manner.

The autopsy on Ian Tomlinson found that he had died from abdominal bleeding, ie, the police beat the absolute shit out of him.

Then they go and do this.

The Metropolitan Police in London is a law unto itself, and is riddled with corruption and thuggery. Always has been, always will be.

They are supposed to be public servants, but they are trained with these brutish and unlawful techniques. The same exact thing happens at every single gathering or protest anywhere in the UK when the police are involved.

It's takes somebody to be beaten to death by the cops before any of this gets on the TV news of course.

You know what, if that had been a black guy they beat to death, or that was a Muslim woman they attacked in that clip (did you notice that he removed his badge number before he hit her?) the police and the government would have been hit with FIERCE protests and riots.

I cannot fathom why there hasn't been a massive public outcry in mainland England over this, or if there is, why it isn't being given any attention.

I couldn't give a shit about bleeding heart politically correct 'people are free to practice what they wish'. Fuck em and the horse they rode in on. I'm proud of being open minded and accepting of different viewpoints (even if i mouth off at things for my own amusement a lot of the time), but even i wish death on all of those bald cunts.

Aside from that, the only viable way to stop a movement like that with violence is by creating a highly invasive police state. That is bad for both the citizenry and the government--it requires massive expenditures of resources that could have been used for other things.

If you don't or can't have a police state, then all you'll be doing is creating martyrs. Remember the four M's: Martyrdom Makes Movements Massive.
