Bambi rescued using the Jaws of Life.

From the description on the original post -- just some more detail:
On the Morning of May 18th 2011 my wife noticed a deer in our yard that appeared to be franticly looking for something in the rocks that form a wall on property line in Brush Prairie WA. When we first went out with our neighbors, we didn't see anything but the deer wouldn't leave our yard. We went back to our house and watched after a few minutes the deer came back.
We went out to the area the deer was concentrating on and could hear a baby fawn crying in the rocks. We moved some of the rocks and smaller boulders and saw baby fawn's face in the rocks. He had apparently fallen in [or] crawled in through one of the gaps and was now trapped. The larger boulders were too heavy to move and we didn't want to have the rocks cave in on the baby deer.
We finally called our Clark County Fire District 3. The B Shift team came out and they were able to move the larger rocks out of the way with the Jaws of Life enough to be able to reach in a pull the baby fawn out and reunited it with its momma. The fawn was probably stuck in their most of the night quickly went on to nurse off its momma....

Peace Activist Quotes Constitution to FBI Agents

you're jumping to a lot of conclusions here. You're trying to paint her as some sort of victim here and she isn't. No rights were violated. she wasn't harassed. There is no fascist state here.
FBI doesn't have the right to ask questions?
We're not getting the whole story here. It could have had nothing to do with her. Someone else at the protest could have threatened to cause damage to people or property and they were trying to find out what they could.
But to answer your question. As others have pointed out...there was no reason to not simply answer the question other than to be a dick. Do you have a right to be a dick...sure. Why would you want to be one though. If the FBI wanted to ask me questions....I'd answer them because I have no reason to withhold anything. Simple as that. The agents did everything proper and went out of their way to be respectful to her. End of story. They left of their own accord too...she didn't tell them to leave.

have to agree with this
Federal Bureau of Investigation.... ie, they probably go out and investigate things
Police do the same thing, when they go around and ask people in the neighbourhood if they say anything suspicious.
The cause she supporting isn't in question here, her reason for pleading the 1st is, the question is harmless... she's so smart, she's probably flagged herself. And this probably has nothing to do with her beyond the fact she was involved in a movement where the FBI may have gotten information about/from regarding certain people making threats against people/property.
As much as she's trying to make this seem sinister, it really isn't. The problem with the whole conspiracy theory of all government institutions being against the common man fails when you realize the government for the most part is made up of the common man, which leads to the conclusion that for the conspiracy to be real, ALOT of people have to be complacent/silent. The best you could say is that for evil men to succeed all that is necessary is for good people to do nothing. And again, thats ALOT of people.

And yeah, the "mother of five" thing is a joke in terms of it being able to overcome the burden of proof... because noone who is a mother (or even a mother of 5) has ever committed a crime. ???

All I saw was the FBI being polite and non-threatening, and her being an asshat.

I like how she keeps trotting out the whole Mother of Five thing. Is it somehow impossible to be a mother of five and also to know of anyone wishing to harm others/property
Sorry...but the woman is a dick the way she was treating those guys. They came to her peacably and asked a pretty simple question. She refused to answer and they acknowledge that she had that right. They left peacably. In return, she treated them like shit and complete disrespect. How is she the hero in all this? On the other hand, the agents were completely respectful and professional and didn't stoop to her level.
I saw the intro to the video and half expected to see a gun pointed at her when she opened the door the way she hyped it up and made it all doom and gloom sounding.

Well, she expressed her opinion in public and the FBI knocked on her door - how would you feel if the FBI knocked on your door due to something as simple as making your post on the internet, would you feel it was necessary?

From the images she interspersed with the video, I'm inclined to think that her answer is "Yes, the Israeli military is currently destroying property and killing people with the material and political support of the US government", but she does not want that in her FBI file, and she does not want to commit the crime of lying to federal agents either. >> ^Sagemind:
If the police showed up at my door asking if I knew of anyone planning to destroy property or hurt people - I'd say, "no". There is no reason to say anything else.

UCLA Girl's Racist Rant about Asians in the Library

mgittle says...

Best part is...she shits on people for like...y'know...having families that care about them instead of setting them loose on the world with all sorts of racist and idiotic attitudes like her parents did.

"Like that sweet American girl my momma raised me to be, I went on the internet and made a video that portrays me as a complete asshole."

Fixed.

This is like me when I as 18, Just full of frustration, and no voice, so what do you do ? you go onto your webcam and upload something to youtube whilst portraying yourself as a pre adolescent teen whining to momma using expletives and not really making a point.

What I suggest to her now that I am ten years down the road... Go hit a cell phone tower with Thermite. Actually make some form of difference rather then flap your jaws. shut up and do something.

Although thermite and communications towers may or may not be over done, that is my suggestion for getting your aggression out.

Chimp empathy and morality, without religion

SDGundamX says...

So if this is correct, you don't need religion to "invent" morality, but religion may help people stay moral. I like this guy--he's pissing in everybody's cheerios!

I'm curious if he's carrying out these experiments on healthy, well-fed monkeys. Although it would be unethical to try this, I wonder what the chimps reactions would be if they were near starving. Would they still share even if there was only enough food for one of them? Sharing when resources are abundant, to me, is not evidence of "moral behavior" but of social behavior--and we've known for years that many monkey groups engage in social behavior. I don't see anything in this video to demonstrate monkeys differentiating between some "right" or "wrong" choice.

On a side note, I think it's really iffy to draw conclusions about human behavior from animal behavior. I'm thinking back to certain Republicans, for instance, who encouraged people to emulate the "family values" of the movie "March of the Penguins" since the momma and poppa penguins work together and even sacrifice their lives for the baby penguins. They were quite embarrassed, of course, when zoologists pointed out that penguins take a new mate every single year.

Homosexuality not 'valid', NY GOP Candidate says

VoodooV says...

Quite honestly, my theory is that people don't have a problem with homosexuality per se, it's that perception that homosexuality = weakness. It's that gender role reversal that has people scared IMO where boys act like girls and girls act like men. In all honesty. That's one thing I still don't really get about homosexuality. What exactly about being homosexual makes a man TALK like a girl? In all honesty, it's that stereotypical flamboyant, effeminate "fabulous" archetype that freaks people out. Chances are, you know someone who is homosexual but they simply act straight so you don't even know it. It's that perception that all homosexuals secretly dress up in BDSM attire and are fabulous interior decorators.

It's the same damned thing with black people. which stereotype causes the most fear for the average american? The assimilated black person who talks like a white person, or the guy dressed as a gangster with heavy ebonics-laden speech? IMO being black per se, or being homosexual per se has almost nothing to do with it. If a straight man started acting flamboyant and effeminate, people would be freaked out about that too. Kids with no strong male role models are perceived to be momma's boys and are picked on...it's the same thing.

Fight those stereotypes and I bet you anything people would accept homosexuality a lot more.

i just dont understand why so many people care what gay people are doing? who gives a fuck? dont we all have other things to worry about? why do these people spend so much time concerned about who someone else loves?
