No Cuss for Us! And you won't even notice...

Heck my 8 year old son watched Kill Bill, and he loved the Bear Jew in Inglourious Basterds. Course we don't mind our kids cursing, course our house sounds like the Osbournes sometimes, but its all freedom of speech and we all say fuck political correctness and even my kids think there should be a genocide against all political correctness and their followers.

RZA is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs. Grammy winning artist and a member of what was the Wu-Tang Clan. He hasn't done much since the 90s that's recognizable or of note except that he made it into the game Draw Something which apparently revitalized his career enough to let him direct a movie.>> ^Deano:
Who the hell is RZA? Looks like it might as well have been directed by QT.

He also scored the first Kill Bill movie, which, I guess is how he convinced QT to let him do this.

Best comment on it so far:
"It's like a teenager wrote a script with all the class things they'd like to see in a movie and actually did a good job"

I just think they become Americanised empty parodies, despite their best intentions. I understand it's a homaage of sorts, but I think they just tend to fail. Even Kill Bill didn't really do it for me, and this film looks to me like the Kill Bill japanese massacre scene for 2 hours.>> ^Sarzy:

You know who directs great asian martial arts films? Asian directors.

That's very true. Not sure what point you're trying to make, though. No one else should be allowed to make this type of film...?

NEW Quentin Tarantino Movie - Django Unchained HD Trailer

I disagree. QT knows exactly what he is doing. Some of his films are dialog driven (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown) and some are genre and/or action driven films (True Romance, Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds). I have no doubt he is capable of writing another Pulp, and that one day he probably will, but for now he is doing high-art pastiche of the classic exploitation dramas he grew up with. This is not to say that these action films are less good than his dialog films, they just have different aesthetic criteria.
He is much like Speilberg in this way, if polar opposites in dialog and style. Speilberg has his serious movies, and he has his homages to the serial action films of his youth.
Prediction: Eventually Quentin will eventually get his fill of action films and create another magnum opus, and likely get himself an Oscar in the process. I would absolutely love for him to take his favorite film of recent times, Battle Royale, and make an American-culture-specific version - not a remake of the film, but a remake of the concept as it would occur if it played out with American high schoolers.
Also, comparing QT to Shayamalan is blasphemy. Even Shayamalan's best work was an average film with a great twist. Shayamalan has never shown even an ounce of the writing or directing skills that QT has. Take it back. TAKE IT BACK!!1!>> ^lucky760:
Win.
I no longer have any confidence Quentin will make another Reservoir Dogs- or Pulp Fiction-caliber film, and I've made my peace with that, but I will still eagerly await every one of his new projects with fervent anticipation.
(I just hope he never descends as far down as M. Night Shyamalan.)

I think even he knows he's lost something. Politely disagree, sir. *tip hat*

Smart young girl on the Bible and religion

shinyblurry says...

I think it's an apt comparison. There's spmething in her sneering commentary that reminds me of her. This isn't a girl who is disillusioned about the bible, this is someone who hates God. For all you idiots know she could be a satanist. There are quite a few satanists who put out this kind of commentary to smear God, knowing full well He exists..but just playing to the religious beliefs of secular humanists.

Hell is for sinners who won't turn from their sins. You don't seem to care where you're going so I don't why you are acting so outraged. You don't want to spend an eternity with God; He'd be giving you what you want..eternal seperation from Him. And when it does happen you won't be able to act surprised or claim no one tried to warn you either.

Guys, you are talking to a brick wall. If you are enjoying watching the logic bounce off, then by all means continue. Just remember you will never get him to budge an inch, much less change his mind. Remember, in his eyes, this intelligent young woman is "one of the least well adjusted girls I've ever seen". He also has no problem with anyone who doesn't worship his god spending eternity in hell. Because that is what well adjusted means to him.

she's about as well adjusted as gogo from Kill Bill. And you're missing the point, entirely. The only people who go to hell are the ones who deserve to be there. No one is going to be in hell going "hey, you've got the wrong guy!" If you end up there, its entirely your fault, and nothing I can do or say will change that.

You are seriously comparing this girl to a raging psychopathic murderer? Because she sees the bible stories for the myths that they are? Man, you are fucked in the head.
And don't mince words about your beliefs about entering heaven. You either get down on your knees and worship the invisible, unprovable fascist dictator, or you spend eternity in hell. Because he loves you, and that's what you deserve even if you lived your entire life as a good, honest, loving, caring, giving person. Well, it's your own fault, right?
