Thanks, qruel. Yes, we're in post now. We haven't started editting yet, though. Um, the film is a drama. I'm terrible with pitches, but the best one I could come up with was Kramer v Kramer meets Wild Things, I suppose. Once we're done cutting it, we hope to get it out into festivals and all that. Right now, I'm just focusing on getting the film cut, and all that other marketing and festial stuff can wait for now.

Haha, you are so right. I just shot a feature out here, and I swore never to shoot another one in LA. It's not friendly to indie filmmakers. I decided early on to go guerilla and shoot without permits, so we were constantly ducking cops. We only got kicked out of one area, which was by a Ranger up on a canyon trail overlooking the cityscape. So, we just packed everything up, made the hike down, and a week later we went back to get the rest of the shots.

Way too expensive out here to shoot. Next feature I do, I'm taking it back to North Carolina, which is where I'm from originally.

Hey, thanks for the compliment. we shot the film here in the midwest (along with all the other films on that site).

i've got a few friends in La nd they talk about how expensive it is and all the permits they have to get before shooting and it makes me wonder how any indie projects get done there

Dag I'm a numbers guy myself, come from the same Wizardy background, however the comment voting leaves me with some trepidation. It definitely seems to be a double edged sword and may end up making some people lazy. Why make a rebutal if I don't agree with your comment if I can just down vote it? Why write my own comment in support of your view if I can just click and up vote it? I hope it won't used that way, but it probably will to some extent.

I can wait to see the results. But perhaps as a compromise we could vote on the best discussions of the week?
I would rather have that than making it a competition to see who is the most prolific writer/commenter/debater.

hint: if video has at least 5 votes, if you can wait until it almost reached 4 days, because between 3rd and 4th day it will likely be in "top15 expiring soon" and get some more votes.

Cool that it's here already. A shame I totally don't have time to play it at the moment. Just as well, I can wait until the bugs are kicked out.

I'm against having to manually enter the lenght. It's a thing that could and should be done by software. So, if it's difficult to code it, no problem, don't to it, can wait, but asking the user to do something that could be automated is bad

however, as for the blackmailing... whether or not you think you were not blackmailing or even if you actually weren't (whichever, I don't really want to debate it); just keep in mind that I am not the only one who walked away from that initial discussion on SiftTalk with the impression that some amount of blackmail was taking place. My only point here is that you should remember this in future dealings here on the sift, and make certain never to give the rest of us any reason to think that you are operating in any manner other than a straightforward and honest way.
