A very small falling drop of water (3000 frames per second)
The tag is a bit misleading, microfluidics generally refers to scales on the order of microns (1e-6 meters) while this appears to be closer to the scale of millimeters. While the link from the source at Youtube leads to some actual microfluidic devices, this doesn't really qualify.
However, still amazing, I could watch high speed camera fluid videos all day.
More hi-speed gunshot goodness.
oh man that was awesome. I need to get me a high speed camera!
Super Slow Motion Lighting - How Did They Do That?
>> ^Quboid:
So, what's the speed of the photography? They mentioned 10 frames of an event that took 0.001 seconds, correct? So it's 10,000x slower, am I right?
Yah, I think the principal is here, and then some one followed up with a better high speed camera to take the money shot.

Yawn. Get a real high speed camera.
Slow-motion video of a rattlesnake striking a foot (10 sec)
It's 6 secs from the point of strike initiation and bite release for the film.
Actually, it would be a LOT faster than that without the high speed camera.
Brainiac - Protecting The Family Jewels
Really? No high speed cameras available to those so-called Braniacs?
Oh, and ouch!
Slow Motion Camera
I was going to say film but that camera seemed pretty small and high speed cameras need a lot of film and I didnt see where it could store that much so im going to guess digital
Slow Motion Camera
isn't a slow motion camera the same as a "high speed" camera?
Mythbusters - Water Heater Rocket
If you get a chance track down and watch the full episode. They first tried it on a 6gal tank filled with water. When that failed it was kind of a dud compared to this...the seams at the bottom failed and all the steam released but no left off. For the second attempt it was a 30gal and this time they only filled it 80% with water and got a spectacular result and this was without a little house covering it so even though you did not have the destruction of the house you had a real nice shot of the lift-off on the high speed camera. This video shows the third attempt with a 52gal and the house built around it since part of the "myth" was that the blast would be strong enough to go through a house.
Hollow Point Bullet Through Gelatine
That is, quite possibly, the coolest high speed camera footage I've scene to date.
Massive Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Shockwaves
We need some serious slow motion on those. Would have been nice filmed with a high-speed camera.
