It's called discretion. Some may call it common sense or compassion, others might say use your fucking brain. What it was made of...probably lemons, water, and sugar (or Countrytime mix). I doubt they were poisoning the city's water system with a weaponized hallucinogen.

I don't really like it when hallucinogens are portrayed like this. I thought it was funny and perhaps the imagery and sounds emulate what it FEELS like to have a bad trip, but THIS is far closer to reality in my experience:

It's very potent and can cause death from Tachycardia. There are many other extremely potent and dangerous hallucinogen plants that are still legal. Angel's Trumpet is planted all around my neighborhood and Seth's neighborhood in Venice Beach, yet Cannabis is illegal. I think the simplistic logic of our government is "if it's fun, don't do it; if it's fatal, well you go ahead!"

P.S. That whole Meg rant ruined the episode for me, btw. When I watch Family Guy, I want to point and laugh, I don't need moral lessons.

I think its malarkey, but to say someone is wrong when you are no better off than they, is in itself wrong.

*fun fact- When I was on mushrooms around 2002-2003 I literally thought the house cat was a reincarnation of my grandma who had passed away years before. I also wrote a poem about the tack on the wall talking to me.

It would have been more accurate, if she called it simulated near death experiences. There are documented cases and scientific studies on that topic, you can get your brain to "restart".
