Fight Club... c'mon, it's obvious
Ocean's 11, Italian Job, Ronin, etc... heist movies are pure guy. They've got the same "play by your own rules, man apart" thing as American Beauty, Falling Down, and Fight Club; complex, logical problem-solving throughout; and action to top it off.

It's an OK film. The marketing mentioned that it was a mix of Fight Club and Memento and that's about right. It manages to be less interesting than either of those films. The revelation/twist didn't seem an interesting enough payoff for what had gone before. Also Bale is left to carry the film on his own and I can't help but feel that he needed better support.

And Bale's weight loss was remarkable but I just wish it was part of a better film.

In that case the 'O' sort of looks like a crescent moon...

They also forgot the one important finish to the fight club quote: "You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else."


What is worse is their mantra subtly added "You are a spirit that will never die and no matter how beaten down, you will rise again" like people will find strength in being many of one.

This was a pleasant surprise when it was released (along with Fight Club around the same time, no less)

I have a serious soft spot for this movie and its sequel.

Still... excellent flick, American Beauty.

I had like 5600 votes and I'm feeling your pain because I was hoping to grind my way through and reach the stars like you. But honestly, it doesn't matter. Everyone still recognizes me for who I am (idiot) even if I had a P next to my name.
Don't worry about being selfish. I upvoted my sifts first too. Then lucky busted out a script to do it automatically. lol!
But then I started tackling others vids .. first the bookmarked ones I had .. then I went and did a search for everything I promoted .. etc etc now I am going through queues one at a time and I'm finding lots of great stuff I've never seen before.
I'm using the drunk tags too right now so I'll shut up but I'll leave you with this fight club style advice .. "you are not your votes" .. and trust me no one here thinks you are either.
