Foreigner Surprising Indians with Hindi (Smiles Galore)
In Sweden I got in many language battles. In the shops, post office, on the street, with friends... I would speak Swedish, they would hear my accent and reply in English, and it would continue like that.
I was asked many times why I persisted in speaking Swedish when we could converse in English.
Because I came to YOUR country. I owe you that respect.
What Causes a Foreign Accent?
The second part is not quite accurate as some people more than others are able to more easily adapt and pick up the new sounds of other languages. I know a German who can do flawless American and British English accents (attested to by other Americans and Brits). And some people are able to accurately replicate accents they are consistently exposed to (most millennials in Australia can do perfect American accents due to the exposure of American TV here that they have grown up with).
Why Do Doctors Have Men Turn Their Heads and Cough?
he also lost his annoying way of speaking and gained a British sounding accent
Did Michael from Vsauce lose weight?
The Current War (Trailer) - Edison/Westinghouse/Tesla
Eh, no.
First, is there some kind of international treaty we can sign that would bar Benedict Cumberbatch from doing American accents?
Second, "risky and dangerous alternating current"? Seriously???
Bryan Fischer Says It's Time Ban The Rainbow Flag
I think we can all tone down on the insults in these already over-heated times... They speak in their regional accents, I speak my own... no big deal.
My blood boils easily too during conversation, but online, I try to be calmer.
IMO when throwing insults we usually end up just speaking pass each other, nothing constructive gets done.
But get ya, I'm 100% with you. Analogy well articulated.
It's div-EYE-siv, not div-e-siv, you fucking inbred hick moron.
And plenty don't want to get rid of the confederate flag because it's divisive. It's because it represents slavery and oppression.
Look, if you feel this is "white washing history" (an argument so ironic it's almost some kind of amazing meta-criticism on itself), then just think of the confederate flag like the swastika.
Should we forget it? Hell no... it's an important part of history and we should see it in books and museums and movies.
That doesn't mean we want the fucking thing hanging on every street corner.

Americans of Chinese heritage with Southern Accents
I can remember hearing a chinese person speaking with a strong yorkshire accent when I was a kid. I can't remember my specific train of thought, but I can remember thinking racism is pointless.

"Trump has no desire and no capacity to lead the world'
Um, in case the accent didn't give it away, this news broadcast is from Australia. Stop blaming the "Clinton Obama media" - they have nothing to do with it. This is how the rest of the world views Trump.
The media you speak of is overwhelmingly liberal biased and I don't for a second doubt they take some of their cues from Americas media.
As for Trump tellling other nations to pay up for defense or telling it like it is in the climate deal and other common sense yet outrageous as viewed by the brainwashed masses ideas ..
Yes I can see why he is unpopular but he is trying to do what he was elected to do and not win speaking contests on the world stage.
As a canadian I'm pissed off to no end how we the public are supposed to suffer while well off politicians make stupid deals that result in our hydro rates tripling so they can impress the "other" nations about our commitment to saving the earth.
We are in a time of change as Justin Trudeau puts it and well it's just too damn bad for us regular folk so suck it up.
If we really want everyone to make fancy useless speeches maybe Trudeau could offer acting lessons as well as outfit the world leaders in costumes.

Have you ever "listened" to Trump? The amount of bullshit, lies, and self contradictory statements that comes out of his mouth - not just from Twitter - is staggering. You can't just cherry pick the things he said that's "correct", and ignore everything else.
Soooo let me get this straight even though I am by no means a fan of Trump but have watched with shock the depths to where the Clinton Obama media will sink to attack him.....just what good would a statement on the obvious North Korean problem do?
An Elevator That Actually Goes Sideways
No one should be able to say, "Is it safe?" in a German accent for at least another thirty years.
Woman freaks out after Father gets joint custody
Fair enough. Between the crappy audio quality and his accent, I honestly couldn't understand much of what he said.
Almost. The judge gives some, saying both are guilty of abusing their child by deriding it's other parent and she's guilty of withholding visitations.
Tabs v(ersu)s Spaces from Silicon Valley S3E6
I thought it was pretty clear in the show that he knew she was using spaces instead of tabs because of the sound of her repeatedly hitting the spacebar at the beginning of each line (which depending in your editor/IDE might be done automatically).
They are in a small environment, (loosely?) collaborating on code. He's anal about tabs vs spaces, and can tell that she's using the "wrong" one because of the repetitive (and annoying from his perspective) sound.
Put programmers together in a confined space, and they'll grate on each other over style issues / noise levels / music / whatever. I find the show extremely accurate in portraying the general atmosphere or feel of software development, if occasionally accenting or misportraying some details in the interest of making it good TV.
The film, however, makes no sense, because the only way you can find out about a fundamental disagreement on spaces v tabs is by opening someone else's file in your editor, and finding the indentation all messed up. It's not something you can tell by looking over a shoulder.
Logan Lucky - Trailer
I'm sorry, Daniel Craig just looks like he should have an English accent.
