JFK - The Speech That Killed Him

bobknight33 says...

Trump is not the issue. The secret societies and the shadow controlling places in government is the issue.. And media is part of it.

Are you saying media is not part of these shadow controlling places? Willing or not they are being used.

Bob, I honestly believe you need to be psychology examined. You have apparently gone off the deep end into full blown delusional political paranoia....or perhaps you really are just a Russian troll.

Please acknowledge that your hero Trump has repeatedly suggested that slander and libel laws are too lax (except when applied to his baseless accusations against others) and that the press should be hobbled and stymied if they speak out against him or reveal what he's trying to hide, as in have their licenses and credentials revoked and be sued into bankruptcy or even charged with treason among other sanctions, but published lies that support him are totally acceptable, even praiseworthy.

Inside The Yakuza

robbersdog49 says...

Why is shit like this presented with such reverence? For all the ceremony and posh suits these are criminal thugs. They aren't just some other culture that does things it's own way and has finally accepted the guy as one of their own, they know exactly what they are and what they're doing.

I'm sure he got a very interesting look at the way a very secretive society is run. There will be a lot that he's seen and photographed that the rest of the world won't know about or have seen before. It's interesting, I get that, but I think it would be all the more interesting if juxtaposed with the bad stuff. Show the photos of them there, all solemn in their suits, but don't forget the kids who are starving to death as their parents rot in prison or are killing themselves slowly in some disgusting drug den somewhere, paying for everything the Yakuza have.

Everything they have is built on death, pain and suffering of others.

Amazing access he gained to a normally closed and close knit 'secret' society.
I wish there was more about the tattoos. Japanese full body suits are my favorite kind of tattoo by far.

President John F Kennedy Secret Society Speech

Rand Paul Offers No Denial On Aqua Buddha

NetRunner says...

>> ^gwiz665:

He used to be in a secret society that mocked religion... doesn't that just mean that he's actually not an idiot, and instead - like most other politicians - just lies about his religion to have a chance to get into office?

It doesn't mean he's not an idiot, it just means he's a different kind of idiot.

He could easily say "I was an irreverent and confused young man when that happened, and now that I've brought Jesus Christ into my life, I beg for forgiveness for the things I did when I was younger."

Instead he calls Conway a slime merchant, and lawyerly refuses to contest the specifics of the accusation.

The former would've made Conway look like an ass, the latter is making it look like Conway has hit a legitimate nerve.

Emoticon questions (Sift Talk Post)

Sagemind says...

I have to say..., this has always bothered me as well... I know the obvious ones & & but that pretty much sums up the expressions I am allowed to have on the Sift. All the others are for the SSS (Secret Society of Sift) I suppose...

Atheism commercial

gwiz665 says...

^Atheism is essentially an ideology. There's a difference between a non-believer and an atheist, although the definitions often get muddled together.

All the different words are hard to define sharply, because so many people attribute different meanings to them: non-believer, atheist, agnostic, anti-theist, humanist, secularist, naturalist, free thinker, rationalist - they are all a different facet of the same gem, so to speak.

I'm vehemently opposed to organized religion, the concept of faith, the specific god of the bible and qua'ran (sp?), evangelical believers, irrationalists, people who do not accept evidence that are contrary to their beliefs, people who believe without any shred of evidence, people who are not grown up enough to see the world as it is, mysterianists, people with undeserved power, injustice, willful ignorance, willful confusion of the masses, deception, wickedness (as defined by my own sense of morality), exclusive knowledge, secret societies, secrets, censorship, bondage and slavery.

Whatever pithy label fits that, I'd use. For now Libertarian Atheist covers it fine, I think.

Is This Change?

NetRunner says...

I love all the people saying "oooh, those brainwashed liberals won't be able to accept this".

Almost 50% of this clip was Rachel Maddow, who you may be surprised to find out is a favorite of liberals. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a liberal that doesn't share Rachel's concerns about Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Only the most starry-eyed person would have expected Obama to be able to deliver on his "no lobbyists" promise. Personally, I expected it to last a bit past the very first round of people he hired during the transition. That said, I'm less worried about lobbyists working for him per se, as I am about their ability to influence policy. We're a bit early yet to really grade Obama's executive branch on that, but certainly Congress is no less swayed by lobbyists than it used to be.

As for the bit about CFR, meh. It takes a valid concern about too much policy inertia from one administration to the next, and then utterly discredits itself by trying to say it's some shadowy secret society pulling the strings that's to blame.

But hey, at least it's a step in the right direction. Most of what's in here is true, and also things I see as strikes against Obama. Much better than the usual Obama = Hitler tripe.

Indeed. He definitely has/had some issues, but it certainly led to a great narrative! And I love how down they get on creepy Jeffery Ross and his subliminal manipulation techniques. It's funny that that subculture exists and how passionate they are about it.

The book also shows how unstable he is. Hes a titty baby.
I do think the whole seduction society is pretty interesting. it's obviously working.

I met the ever flamboyant Mystery at a club in LA once, as well as some of his crew including a couple of season 1 contestants. He actually seemed like a pretty cool guy and was quite gracious when I "opened his set" (talked to him). Also, Neil Strauss's book The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists which is pretty much all about Neil's life as Mystery's wingman was an absolutely fascinating read.

Zeitgeist Refuted

EndAll says...

I agree that citing the Bible as a source isn't the best way to go about refuting some of the claims.. I couldn't get through this whole thing. From what I understood though, this film only attempts to refute the part of Zeitgeist that dealt with Religious conspiracy? It seemed to acknowledge the whole secret society, hidden hand, Freemason stuff. I wonder why no one has attempted to refute all that. :}

Neil Strauss also wrote The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists about when he lived with Mystery from "The Pickup Artist", which is a highly fascinating read. Recommended.
