Doom (Zero Punctuation)
The game is fucking awesome, but I think you are right that it doesn't really warrant a $60.00 price tag. I feel more convinced of this after paying $25 for the latest Fallout 4 expansion, Far Harbor - DOOM for $60, Overwatch for $40 and Witcher 3's latest expansion Blood and Wine for $19.99.
Blood and Wine is a god damn exemplary piece of video gaming. The amount of content and quality in that *expansion* surpasses most AAA games and all of the aforementioned games - for less.
Anyway, back to DOOM gripes; most of the side missions are fucking way too linear and aggravating. There's nothing special about the multiplayer and the Snapmap thing is basically a level shitter-outer.
That said, the multiplayer was created by an external team but Id software are working on correcting the multiplayer. If they correct the multiplayer and make something interesting out of it, release a real editor to get a decent mod scene going - then I think the game would be worth $60.00 for quite a while and they could go all Blizzard about it and keep it at that price for years.
The more I hear about this game, the longer I'm waiting to play it. Seems to be about $25 max.

Dragons - Overwatch Animated Short
@artician
Honestly, I'm much more a fan of stylized fantasy / sci-fi rather than just photo-realism. Like Bruti79 said, it keeps the game from ageing (e.g. TF2 still looks very good despite its age because of this).
Also a hyper realistic approach generally has less character and unique style. Admittedly, Overwatch is very Pixar inspired but stylistically that is still enough to distinguish it from your Call of / Battlefield monotony.
If there's anything I would criticize is the tone of all their titles is moving towards a PG-13-eque, appeals to the widest audience nature. They haven't released anything as dark as Diablo 1 or 2 in ages, and look like they never will.

I both agree and disagree with this statement. Yes, their cinematics are probably the best in the business. I think they rely on a "cartoony" style in their games to keep them from looking too dated. They don't go hyper realism in the games because when graphics improve, the look can easily lose effect.
Imo, you don't get that with cartoony looking graphics, like Overwatch or the WoW character design. There hasn't been much of a visual overhaul over the 10+ years of WoW.
My guess is they did Overwatch's style like that to separate them for WoW. I think it has a lot of potential to work well for them. I can see if they made hyper realistic cinematics for Overwatch, that they would be compared to the WoW cinematics. This way, it's a clean break.
Personally, I like the Pixar look to it. It's all in the eye of the beholder. =)
This is showcasing the New Generic. Blizzard used to push the boundaries for hyper-realism in CG, but everything from designs to animations in this is wrapped tightly in a security-blanket of technical and conceptual cliche.
Sign of the times, but I'm still filing a formal complaint...

Blizzard's CGI dept really is top notch.
Shame they keep employing 14-year-old boys to write their stories.

He says (posing as a Blizzard exec) @3:44 --
"all of our franchises are based off of other people's games:
Hearthstone -> Magic the Gathering
Starcraft and Warcraft -> Warhammer
Diablo -> Baldur's Gate
Overwatch -> Team Fortress 2"
I can't comment on the first and last. Star/Warcraft being influenced by Warhammer makes sense. Diablo being influenced by Baldur's Gate... Not so much (I'd even disagree with saying Diablo as a *franchise* being influenced by BG as a *franchise*, ignoring the timing issue of original Diablo vs original BG).
I too was disappointed with Diablo not being "RPG enough" compared to, say, the Ultima series. But once I got past that, I actually had a lot of fun with it (and Diablo 2).
Did he say that? I didn't watch it. I remember myself ranting about Diablo 1 not being "enough of an RPG", and my room mate at the time had to point out it was never trying to be. I dunno.. I was a dumb young man at one point, too, but at least I knew which game came first, (though that might be the benefit of having lived through it).
Officer involved shooting 12/06/15
Seems to me there are good reasons the Seattle police dept has been putting out these videos the last couple years. I assume it's A PR thing in their attempt to combat the reality that their dept is one of the worst in the country when it comes to police brutality (based on the need for the feds to investigate the dept due to abuse) and how the internal overwatch won't punish bad cops in Seattle.
A more realistic picture of the Seattle Police Dept.

You know its a HUGE issue when the Feds investigate your police force.
