We Are Going to Impose Christian Rule in this Country

newtboy says...

Who is this fucking moron?
This kind of brainless provocation by falsehood is why religion should be abolished. It's nothing more than a xenophobic weapon today, and has lost any and all redemptive value it might have once had.

Side note- be sure to boycott products from these states if you want your displeasure noticed. Money speaks far louder than words today, it worked in N Carolina.
In no particular order, the state's knowingly violating the constitution in a disingenuous plot to erode women's rights to self autonomy are-Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Utah, Arkansas, Idaho, Wyoming, Mississippi, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, N Dakota, S Dakota, Missouri.

Amazon's new anti-package-theft technology needs some work. Thank God they did their beta testing in Oklahoma and not Australia.

If you look at Oklahoma in the beginning and then 2014+ you can see all the earthquakes caused from deep-well injection of all the fracking fluid.

Trump Holds Rally Amid Aftermath of Family Separation Policy

newtboy says...

Funny, following the law isn't important when it's environmental law, or international law, charity law, fraud law, tax law, etc.....or when it takes effort to follow American law. That's why he spent money on building and running child jails instead of immigration judges, who could solve the problem 100% by making the application process last under 3 weeks.
Democratic politicians have tried to solve this repeatedly, but obstructionist republicans couldn't let any Obama laws pass and kicked it down the road to where we are now, where democratic bills stand zero chance of consideration, much less a vote.

Trump intentionally caused this with his presidential order to move to zero tolerance and arrest asylum seekers in an effort to force the political issue while Republicans only need to stop Democrats from filibustering, but enough Republicans balked at his monsterousness that he actually needs democrats votes now, something he won't get.

Since it's so often American policy and American drug trade that has made their homes terrible places, we owe those who our actions have displaced an opportunity for asylum.

It's like I come to your home, break in, take your valuables, burn the house down looking for more, then deride you for needing help, deny you shelter, and tell you to get your shit together and stabilize your life while my other gang members pick through the rubble of your home, then we dump you in Reno, your wife in Oklahoma, and your kids.....somewhere, not our problem, you find them.

There isn't some sudden rush of immigrants like Trump and oan/faux claim, the rate is still fairly steady.

Also, contrary to the lies you've repeated, no party advocates open borders. That's as true as saying Republicans are advocating the destruction of families and murder of children. Democrats have tried to fund rational immigration controls and have been stymied, but Republicans just want to lock the door and only let in those with connections and money.....like the Bin Ladens.

To think otherwise is just ignorant of the facts.

Trump is doing the right thing. Following the law. This need to be FIXED this has been kicked down the road for decades. Politicians promise to do something then don't . They enact laws and then don't enforce. Trump is being non political and will try to fix it. Obama, Bush, Clinton all kick the can down the road as did the house and senate. Now 30+ million illegals and thousand every month coming. THIS NEEDS FIXED.

I sorry these people come from terrible places. The solution is not open boarders but to stabilize their countries. THEY need to get their shit together.

To think otherwise is foolish.

Machine Gun Attack On Las Vegas Concert

bobknight33 says...

You are as diluted as Newtboy. Guns are regulated to great extent.

You can make all guns illegal and still bad guys will use them. Better to let good guys have access to them also.

The bump stock ad-on this guy used would never be useful except in the situation he was in.. No accuracy just spraying lead down stream..

In America guns are as plentiful as roaches... impossible to rid yourself of them.

The guy could have used any other method using legally obtained items ( like his guns). He could have use Nitrogen fertilizer like the Oklahoma city bombing back in 1995.

If you want to kill people your going to find a way.

The guy appears to be more mental than anything else. Better to improve mental health laws and let finds/ workers to have a anonymous line to ATF to say hey this guy might be a danger to community.. And let that be a trigger when/if he applies to get a gun - which entail a more thorough background check

ChaosEngine said:

You’re right. Cars and trucks are deadly in the wrong hands.

Which is why we regulate them. You need a licence to drive one. You are tested to see if you are a competent driver. People with serious mental health issues are restricted from driving and there are MASSIVE industry regulations that attempt to make these vehicles safer.

There’s also entire departments dedicated to studying road fatalities.

None of which is true of guns. The CDC can’t even STUDY gun violence.

"All white people are racist"

Imagoamin says...

Didn't call for censorship. I just find little benefit in singling out an individual with a very tiny platform for saying something dumb. The idea that her being singled out online to be inundated with death threats and vitriol for her and her family (her and her family were doxxed over this) seems to far outweigh the benefit of "stopping this woman going around the country"... seeing as how she's one woman with basically no following and little influence. I doubt she's done many of these talks at all or will do more. (Looked it up. This talk was the only one she'd given all year. Only one on a different subject the year before. Both locally in her area.)

Spreading videos like this after someone has already been doxxed and threatened only seem to help compound the injury. And it's not ideological to me. Justine Sacco said something stupid online and got a crazy amount of blowback and lost her job for it- I don't agree with that either.

If you want to call out what you view as racism, going after the little guys for saying something a little off isn't the way. Go after people with influence. Hell, a police chief in Oklahoma was just caught running a white supremacist website and record label. That guy has direct impact on the rest of people's lives and even if they get to keep their lives in some situations.

Ashleigh is an unemployed recent college grad. The most influence she has are the 15 or 20 people who were all adults that signed up for this particular seminar. I imagine they either agreed with or are old enough to make up their own mind on what was said.

So if you could just let us know what types of racism and hate-speech we should look the other way over, we can begin recreating the third reich immediately...

I don't want anyone dox'd or harassed, and i especially don't want her racism to result in more racism directed at her because that will confirm her bigoted world view. But I can't wrap my head around someone defending a racist hate-speech from a *left wing point of view.* Historically, anti-racism, anti-facism, etc. was always led by the left - this is their genre!

I don't understand what her age has got to do with it other than excuse making, and i also don't understand why the sift shouldn't be allowed to post videos that are used by websites/groups we ideologically oppose. In that case, we need to take down the videos about cops killing unarmed black teenagers, because far-right websites use those videos in different contexts too. And we better show understanding and take down videos of those "random young people" from Charlottesville marching as nazis.

I know i'm being a bit sarcastic here, but seriously..... do not - DO NOT - censor videos showcasing racism according to the skin colour of the offender. That is possibly the exact worst thing you could do to help the far right cause. We are right to speak up and hopefully stop this woman going off round the country radicalising more people to her way of thinking.

Edit:
You can say that nazis marching in the street and getting violent are inherently more problematic than what is shown in this video and i agree. But the reason we have violent nazis in the streets is because we compromised and allowed acolytes for hatred like Milo to make his own hate-speeches in the name of 'respecting all viewpoints' and led by impotent neoliberal centrists who didn't want to piss off a demographic by morally challenging their views.

Police Murder Oklahoma Man Terence Crutcher *Graphic Death*

transmorpher says...

According to the news, the car was still running, and the man was saying that the car was going to blow earlier(according to the 911 call).

So I'm guessing they thought the car could have explosives in it because of the call, and the way it was parked.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/terence-crutcher-police-shooting-tulsa-oklahoma/story?id=42217812

Would be interesting to hear what was wrong with the car. Because it's possible that the car simply overheated and that's why he said "it's going to blow". And the 911 caller just took it out of context.

Also we'll never know if he did or didn't attempt to reach into the SUV (which had it's windows down) because the helicopter was on the wrong side during the crucial moment.

THE AMAZING TRIPLE SPIRAL (15,000 DOMINOES)

Classic Wernicke's Aphasia

Mordhaus says...

I had a best friend who had something very similar happen. He had a lifetime issue with Meth. I wouldn't necessarily classify it as addiction since he could go years without using it, but if it was available and he was in that mood, he would use it.

Usually it would happen when he went back home to Oklahoma and hung out with his old best friend from years before. The last time he went, he used it and it exacerbated an undetected aneurysm. They found him barely alive and with brain damage to the same area of the brain that the person in the video has.

After a year of recovery, during which we were unsure if he would recover at all, he did manage to begin speaking again and have some movement. His speech was very much the same; you could sense he knew what he was trying to say, but all the wrong words came out. He had to use a tablet like device that would tell you what he was trying to say, it was supposed to also help him retrain his mind so that he could speak again.

Sadly he passed away in his sleep about 6 months later. I still can't believe it sometimes. He died at 41, when I was 39. Now I am older than he was and he was in far better health than me, except for the aneurysm. It's just weird how things work out.

Bill Maher: Who Needs Guns?

bobknight33 says...

Bomb material is just as freely if not more freely available than guns.

Remember Oklahoma bomber? Or how about all those suicide bombers? they are like Dixie cups, plentiful and single use only.

It is easier to make a bomb than buy a gun.

RedSky said:

Wide gun availability makes terror attacks more likely and more dangerous. We know that gun availability and murder rates by country are practically a linear correlation with the US at the far tail end of developed countries. The same likely holds for terror attacks.

He might have been dissuaded if he had to build a bomb or messed it up like the Times Square bomber. Meanwhile the idea that somebody armed in a crowded nightclub might have been able to stop him shooting into the crowd is ludicrous.

The US has the widest gun availability of any country. Why isn't it the safest?
