Covid masks BS or a useful tool against pandemic spreads? When used properly, the latter…but not a perfect panecea just like seatbelts don’t stop all traffic deaths. Proper universal mask use and social distancing could have prevented as many as half of cases in the US.

Covid hospitalization rate <3% or way way higher? The last reports I recall I think said around 3% of the overall population, but much higher among just adults….over 10% in some age categories. Were hospitals over run with patients to the point deathly ill people were sent home to die. Absolutely, for months, causing tens of thousands of preventable deaths….what you call a “nothing burger”.

A special mention goes to Blue's News for turning me on to Videosift in the first place. Like many, I lurked here a while before starting an account, and then went even longer without contributing much. The last few years, this site has been my main outlet for being social (pretty sad, huh?) and I've enjoyed many a wasted evening perusing the comments ranging from hilarious to outrageous, but always a good time.

Thanks to @dag and @lucky760 for keeping it going. It's quite an accomplishment, keeping our rag tag group of misfits in line and out of serious trouble. You two are a great pair of internet dads, we couldn't ask for better.
Also a special mention for uncle @eric3579 , who's turned me on to many a great video, and been there as a friend or just friendly ear when I needed one more times than I can count, and been there to tell me when I'm going overboard or being too harsh, like a real friend does. He's also done quite a lot to make this site feel like a second home to me.

This ain't new or news. Lamer, poppier version of something that's been around for more than 20 years.

My wife works in fashion, designs for Urban Outfitters, PacSun, Roxy, Quicksilver, etc. etc. Your girlfriend or wife probably owns either a handbag or an article of clothing designed by her. The styles and trends that are in take us all the way back to Cramps/Misfits/Rocky Horror fashion sense, amalgamated with '90s nihilism and modern pop (often hip hop, but in the case here, J Pop) trends.

Nothing new is happening and that makes it SOOOOOO much easier to anticipate the trends and succeed in making people think something "new" is on the horizon. lol

Hoping this comes to Hulu sometime. They've had other Channel 4 shows like Misfits.

So how does CBC differ from the BBC? I thought BBC was also a public funded television network.

I like the Insecurity show from Canada. Being Erica is OK. I think there was also a show based around a high security science lab that kind of solved problems for other science fields, but I can't recall the name of it at the moment. That was an interesting show as well.

As for UK television I think of Misfits and Dr. Who, most other stuff has been kinda miss.

Although as an American I don't know how the television in either country works, beyond knowing that they were government funded. I think the government owns BBC, not sure on CBC case.
