Watch the movie "Le Mans" with Steve McQueen to see Reims in it's full glory. Seeing the paddock like this nearly brought a tear to my eye.

Oh, and nice car. The auto-blip feature is genius.

It's actually pretty amateur driving, lol. If you've seen Hans Stuck or a pro Le Mans driver do this track, it's an obvious difference. This guy is all over the place.

Whether the car is a day old or 20 years old is of no consequence. The car only lasted for 50 miles.. That is BAD!
The didn't build a le mans car, they built a sports car. It is being tested like a sports car, in the same way every sports car is tested on Top Gear. It beat the 911 GT for christ sake!
The car smoked a gas based car, but it was smoked by the fact that it is as reliable as an Irish drunk. I still don't understand why you are so against them describing its failings. It's not like the iphone of cars...it's far from perfect.

i can see your point but telsa did not come out to build a race car they have no car for the Le Mans. yes i agree they should report on the problems but within reason was there no problems to be suspected from a car that has only been out a year? the show just seemed to slant towards the last half on how horrible this car was and ineffective it was against gas based cars.

Horrifying - Sports Car Somersault

That was on 24h Le Mans (24h race in France) in 1999. The Mercedes had aero-dyanmic misconceptions. The car took off at 350km/h at the top of a small hill.

The other Mercedes was taken away from the race after that crash.

The sad thing is that the cars already crashed during the test days, but the engeneers only added a small flap, hoping it was enough. But ot obviusly wasn't.

Weber was the pilot harmed during the test, Peter Dumbreck during the race. Both survived. Weber is still driving for Mercedes.
