Hello --
Thanks so much for putting the info up, I really appreciate it! I didn't know about this site before, actually -- I'm not too computer savvy. But the wish list has a big case of wanderlust, and I want it to be good publicity for the magazine, so periodically I do Google searches on its title and check to see if the sites that post it mention the mag. Your site came up as ranking pretty highly, so you must be doing good work here!
All my best,
Deborah

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, Deborah. I edited my blog and put your credit at the end of the list.
Do you frequent this site? I was wondering how you came across your list here. Nice work, and thanks!

Hi, there --
Just wanted to let you know that I wrote this list, and it's an article from a magazine I recently started -- Secular Homeschooling Magazine. Could you please put my name, the name of the magazine, and a link to the magazine's site at the top, please?
Here's a link to the mag's site:

And here's a link directly to the list on the mag's site:

oh! btw, only reason i didn't upvote yours, is because i was under the impression that full copies of anything didn't belong here. forgot to mention that when you posted your comment.

Hey, changed your tags 'cos my own "The War Tapes" sift didn't autolink to yours. It should now (and I don't think it was filmed in the 'Stan, although I could be wrong).
If I may make a shameless plug: My fellow Sifters! The full film is in the queue right now, go vote it up if you please.
EDIT: K, nobody's upping it, so I'll discard. But here's the link to the full film on Google Video:

TED Talks are excellent. The more people get exposed to them and expect excellence despite their length, the easier it should become to sift them.

Most Memorable Deborah Kerr Moment - From Here to Eternity
According to the TCM tribute to Deborah that I saw last weekend, it took them THREE entire days of filming to get this scene right... apparently the waves wouldn't cooperate.
The Ending to "An Affair to Remember" (1957)
this movie brought to you by the makers of midol and kleenex.
But seriously, may you rest in peace Deborah, you were a hell of a dame!
Who's Reading What? (Books Talk Post)
The last textual book I read in its entirety was a book about probability theory called "Struck by Lightning." It's very accessible and a good introductory "pop-science" read to the subject. The last graphic novel I read was Epileptic by David B, which deals with heavy material (the author's brother's severe epilepsy and all of the ill-fated attempts to cure him of it), but is very well written and has excellent artwork.
Currently, whenever I have a few minutes, I'm reading a couple books about logic, Logic Made Easy by Deborah J Bennett and 101 Philosophy problems by Martin Cohen.
