They indicate there were well over 1000 that invaded the capitol building, and close to 10000 total...that’s around 10% of the crowd that entered the building by force, the rest were outside murdering police and damaging public property, setting live bombs, and keeping police reinforcements from being able to get to the scene. Mostly peaceful it was not.

My impression is that the police allowed this to happen. It isn't exactly a secret that there's significant overlap between fascists and law enforcement in this country. There's video of the police opening up fencing to allow the rioters through, and at least one clip of an officer in the capitol building taking fucking selfies with the invading rioters.

Republicans rioting in the streets now, shooting, stabbing, attacking police, vandalizing churches, lighting fires, armed and trying to forcefully take over capitol buildings and disrupt / attack congress, not peacefully protesting.
