Game of Thrones - Rock Intro mashup
>> ^westy:
The levels of the electric guitar + drums seem wrong and overall the track sounds really murky If this was remastered so the electric guitar was crisp and each component stood out with quit abit of distance between the violin and the electric guitar then it would be 100x better , To me the whole track sounds as if i'm listening to it with a pillow on my head.
Be fun to hear a amiga/c64 version of this track.
the two people who appear in this weren't in collaboration with each other. They were two separate videos (The one guy on violin, and the other on guitar) and a third party spliced them together, so I don't expect the music to be stellar.
However, the fact is that it still sounds pretty freaking epic. I have no problems with the sound quality, and my headset is currently a piece of shit.

Hi Croccydile, mrsid has a suggestion for a better embed for your video below.

If your username is from the c64's sound chip, you might like this one (my favourite demo and on 9 votes...):
http://videosift.com/video/Commodore-64-Demo-Deus-Ex-Machina
Yeah, I know it of course...
May I suggest this embed? It has much better quality:

One of us should suggest it to the owner, Mr. Croccydile. I just wanted it sifted because it's my favourite, not because it's mine. (edit: done)
There's some great stuff in your PQ btw

BOOZE DESIGN 2008 EDGE OF DISGRACE (C64)
>> ^oritteropo:
You would probably want an emulator to run the demo too, like vice - http://www.viceteam.org/
Well, unless you still have a c64

Amazing what can be squeezed out of a C64. Don't tell @deathcow, but I think they were actually more powerful than my Apple ][e.

You know, that's almost exactly what I thought when I first saw one of these amazing demos
The '64 had a dedicated graphics chip sharing the main memory on alternate clock cycles with the CPU, but it could also steal access, so how much CPU it had left depended on whether the screen was blanked and a few other things... but it's a lot more powerful when these guys are programming it than when I am!!!

It's very good to see you back on the sift
Is electronica/old skool demo scene of any interest?

Since it only needs one vote to be set free from my PQ I'm rather hoping you like it!!!
