bill maher-the difference between OWS and the tea party

ghark says...

I'm not usually a fan of his stuff either, he usually plays it like the GOP are the bad guys and overlooks the fact that while Democrats say better things, they continue (and escalate) the wars, the lobbying, the wealth extraction, the environmental destruction etc. He occasionally picks up on this, but pretty rarely it seems, which leads me to believe there's some agenda there. Also I'm against this 'fair and balanced' type of news/media, where for some reason, every debate must involve someone with their head buried so far in the corporate think tank they may as well just be a Frank Luntz manikin that repeats talking points on request.

Also, I don't really know why people feel the need to debate the motives of the Tea Party, they only came out with their signs because they were organised and funded by think tank GOP groups (tax exempt 501(c)(4)'s)/billionaire individuals/Fox News. So their motivations are irrelevant as they were literally coached and coerced into doing what they did.

oh, i didn't imply that the goal of the video wasn't to garner the creator attention. i implied that the goal of the video wasn't for SEXUAL attention.

once again, you storm into a topic as a moral crusader and come out the other end as an ignorant, judgmental twat.

maybe you can't look at a boob without getting an inappropriate boner, but don't assume the rest of us can't use discretion and common sense like adults.

oh and @ForgedReality you're being such a raging douchebag, it just inspired me to text my boyfriend and thank him for not being a fucking douchebag. i'm sorry for the woman who has to have sex with your judgmental, immature, passive aggressive, socially stunted ass. in my head i just decided you were 16 so that we can at least all have hope that one day you will grow out of it. >> ^shinyblurry:

Yes, showing off your breasts in public isn't a cheap ploy for attention. That makes sense.
>> ^peggedbea:
i'm pretty sure that wasn't the goal. it was a funny, silly, stupid thing she can do with her enormous boob. i, for one, am impressed. my stupid average size boobs cant do tricks like that.
just because there are boobs in a video, doesn't mean they're there to impress men. that isn't our main function, desire, aspiration. once again, get over your self. >> ^shinyblurry:
So you approve of this? Do you feel that women should degrade themselves to get the approval of men?
>> ^peggedbea:
and as for you, give it a rest. go stand out the strip club and save souls there. or foam at the mouth screaming at whores at the abortion clinic if your so concerned with womankind and our dainty little souls. >> ^shinyblurry:
@UsesProzac Do you have even a modicum of dignity or self respect? You have promoted yourself as a harlot and you draw mens attention with lasciviousness. You are prostituting yourself and it is revolting.

I'm going to whip my dick out and flop it on the table as a joke. HA HA HILARIOUS now I'm in handcuffs and I can't even put my dick away.
When the cops question me as to why I did it, I'm going to tell them it's just something silly I can do, and it wasn't for attention at all.

Questioning Evolution: Irreducible complexity

shinyblurry says...

Thank you for your good will here, I genuinely appreciate it. It's one of the few acts of sincerity I've received on this board. Because of that, you've inspired me to present my defense. I will attempt to show that evolution is every bit as metaphysical as a belief in God. I will also attempt to answer the question you posed about compartmentalization. I should get to it later today. Thank you again.

>> ^shuac:
>> ^shinyblurry:
I had a little rant here..ive erased it for civilities sake..if you want to address me in civilized manner instead of attacking my intellect, which I will assure you is doing just fine, let me know..

You mistake me, sir, for a common internet thug. My comment takes no such attitude. There exist very learned scientists who are among the most pious Christians ever. People like William Jennings Bryan, Freeman Dyson, and the head of the genome sequencing project, Francis Collins.
The younger Behe's answer about compartmentalization would probably, in my estimation, apply to all of them. That's not an attack on their intellect, sir. At least, I don't see it as one and I certainly don't mean it as one. In fact, a very decent argument could be made that such a sophisticated partitioning would require a degree of sophistication beyond that of normal needs.
For instance, I have very achievable compartmentalization requirements when I carry two opposing thoughts in my head. Typically, they are thoughts like "I hate 80s hair metal but I love that one song by Warrant" or the like. That kind of partitioning doesn't require a lot of mental horsepower but then, my needs are modest. You see what I mean?
As far as the second quote by Behe the Younger goes...well, I believe that sums up the entire ID stance and is similarly in no way an attack on your (or anyone else's) intellect. Hey, I get it: creationists feels strongly about this stuff and I'm not surprised they're trying to get around the rules.
Just understand that we also feel strongly.

Hitler Discovers Republicans Have No Ideas

NordlichReiter says...

@NordlichReiter, yes posting anti-Republican videos on a site as ultra-conservative as Videosift is, is just like trolling.

The guy who did this one actually seems to know about conservative ideology, to the point where I suspect this was made by a disheartened former Republican.

They see me trollin' they hatin'!

No sir, I'm a socially liberal fiscally conservative. Also did I tell you I reluctantly supported health care? I thought section 101 of HR 3962, from what I understand, was a step forward. Hey, and Section 258 is another step in the right direction too. But I guess that makes me some sort of disheartened republican that I support a woman's right to abort, and dislike the whole; fucking people over because they have a preexisting condition.

The only part of the bill I disliked was the section 501!

No that only bounces off of you're elastic exterior!

I thought you were referring to me,but I see you were referring the disheartened republican who made the Hitler video, my apologies. I was so taken up in the act of trolling that I got carried away.

Also that user only has one upload, the video here. The account was created March 14 2010, and the given age of the poster is 41. Your assumption could be right!

Republican Lawmakers are Obedient Sheep

NordlichReiter says...

More two party bullshit.

Look at it this way.

One problem down, a million to go. There's still the FED, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, taxes, Wall Street and a would suppose a whole slew of other things that the Administration needs to get to work on.

Pat yourself on the back, we may or may not have better health care; that remains to be seen in statistical evidence. I for one hope it helps, even if it only helps a little bit. But I get the feeling it only made things worse.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/mar/22/us-healthcare-bill-passes-congress

The bill is not final, the Democratic House is to pass another with revisions.

Here is a link to the documents. The introduced document and the one that got passed.
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3962/text

The most important part of this bill to me is Section 501 "Tax On Individuals Without Acceptable Coverage." Which is an ammendment to Section 59b of the Internal Revenue Code. In my mind this is exactly the problem with our system of Governance. They make up a law then they add, in this case, 5 exceptions to the law. Then they add more hoops to jump through by saying what is Acceptable Coverage.

Which still doesn't resolve my problem with the bill, the punishment of those who do not have health care. It is hardly a step forward when the government makes it compulsory to have health care coverage. It is the same as forcing everyone to have a gun, eat a certain diet, or have sex in missionary under the coercive punishment of taxation; moreover in drastic cases civil litigation, and prosecution.

With all due respect to the other parts of the bill that put restrictions not allowing care for preexisting conditions, discrimination of abortion, and any other good part I missed, this bill and the voters can get fucked. Damn the republicans for not working to revise section 501, and damn the democrats for letting that pass. I guess we never really had freedom of choice.

Dobbs: Should The US Follow Denmark's Example?

NordlichReiter says...

Section 501 of the HR 3962:

Section 501 - Tax on individuals without acceptable health care coverage.

‘‘TAX IMPOSED.—In the case of any individual who does not meet the requirements of subsection (d) at any time during the taxable year, there is hereby imposed a tax equal to 2.5 percent of the excess of the taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income for the taxable year, over the amount of gross income specified in section 6012(a)(1) with respect to the taxpayer.”

TAX LIMITED TO AVERAGE PREMIUM.
‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—The tax imposed under subsection (a) with respect to any taxpayer for any taxable year shall not exceed the applicable national average premium for such taxable year.”

The following section of the IRS Code clearly states that the penalty for not paying taxes can result in a fine of $25,000 or up to 1 year in jail.

§ 7203. Willful failure to file return, supply information, or pay tax
- http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=7291770&mesg_id=7292014

The above is an example of why I dislike the current system of governance. This effectively forces you to buy health insurance from the corporatist state.

Unless, of course, you think freedom of choice is a jail cell.

A Look at Healthcare Around the World - NY Times Op-Ed (Blog Entry by JiggaJonson)

>> ^NetRunnerI'd also suggest you're big on using incorrect numbers. $1.5 trillion is close to all medical spending public and private in the US per year.

I'm getting pretty sick of your revisionist bullshit. This level of dishonesty and *lies has got to be worth a hobbling.

2008 Healthcare statistics:
Hospital care: $747.1 billion
Physician and clinical services : $501.7 billion
Prescription drugs: $247.0 billion
Nursing home and home health: $198.5 billion
Dental care: $102.4 billion
Other items: $597.6 billion
Total: $2.72 trillion

2007 Federal expenditures:
Medicare: $394.5 billion
Medicaid: $276.4 billion
Social Security: $869.6 billion
Health and Human Services: $70.7 billion
Total: $1611.2 billion

^This link here is the difference between our positions. I'm a skeptic, and you're a believer. I read everything, critically, with a grain of salt, and verify both the logical validity of the argument and the source backing the claims. You believe whatevers written in the blog of anyone whose ideas match yours - facts, evidence, sources, logic - all irrelevant - the only requirement for you to be taken hook, line and sinker is the perceived authority of the author.

We spend $700 billion on Medicare and Medicaid alone. You think insuring another 40 million is only going to cost $80 billion? If that were true, it would only cost $2000 per person, or $600 billion to insure every single one of the 300 million americans in this country. $100 billion less than current levels which don't even cover a fraction of that number!

WTF are you smoking?

Healthcare funding in the next decade is going to triple or worse - even without increasing the scope of current funding. Your gullibility (denial?) is overwhelming.

Blankfist roasting on an open fire (Parody Talk Post)

thinker247 says...

Even though Blankfist is not supposed to be within 500 feet of anywhere children congregate, he still manages. 501 feet, binoculars and a trail of candy corn sure does wonders for his social life.

Blankfist doesn't rape children for the sexual thrill, but rather for the pleasure of knowing that somewhere a mother is crying, desperate to find her missing Down Syndrome daughter. And because he likes the sound the kids make when they're gurgling salt water.

I heard they were roasting Blankfist and I thought, "Was he caught in Alabama again? How many volts go through the chair?" But then I thought, "Dear god, what does burnt a$$ grav33 smell like?" I'm sure his victims know.

Anyway, back to the pedophile jokes.

Blankfist fucks children, he does it with style.
He covers their mouths with sperm and bile.
Blankfist fucks children, he does it with class.
He fucks little children, from mouth to ass.
Blankfist skews gender, to fit his disease
He fucks boys and girls, and gets off to their pleas.
Blankfist fucks children, of that there is no question,
Except, "Who's next that he'll be molestin'?"

--
Blankfist's girlfriend is an elaborate ruse. In fact, she is actually made of three children stapled together. When her dress falls at night, six arms, three mouths and two-and-a-half vaginas are ready for his every sick desire.

Blankfist dug up the corpse of Stanley Kubrick and buried it in an Indian cemetery in order to bring it bac kto life to give him the secrets of pedophilia. Unfortunately, Blankfist forgot that it was actually Roman Polanski who held those secrets, and he only needed a plane ticket to France.

When Blankfist wants to feel dirty, he fucks an adult woman missionary style, and lets her live. Afterward he cuts himself and fucks a baby just to feel normal again.

Speaking of fucking kids, gwiz is here. Probably under the bed in your child's room. When they complain about monsters, make sure to actually check. But be careful, he bites. And he's covered in lube.

Back to the pedo-du-jour:

Blankfist has no life, so he steals it from children through their genitals. At least that's what he tells me when I'm selling him some Kenyan babies.

Blankfist makes Chris Hansen shudder, then wash himself and set his clothing on fire. oddly enough, that's the reaction most people have when they meet BF.

Blankfist puts his L-shaped penis into little children without their consent. Then he takes a dump and wipes it on their genitals in order to enhance his pleasure. Afterward he spits on the kid and dumps the body into a ravine.

One of these days we will catch you, you son-of-a-bitch!

Until then...

Blankfist is a child rapist.

Good night.
