when the commentators/comedians were like "what the hell is all that about? no idea" i had an epiphany: i'm fluent in a second language!!

if you understood that, you too, are fluent in wowgeek =D

I love this comment, worthy of the best of Reddit!

reminds me of the "dont tase me bro" guy eh? drama queens

In reply to this comment by MarineGunrock:
I laughed SO hard when that bitch started screaming. Way to go from "super-ultra tough guy" to little bitch in .02 seconds. I've been hit with that same taser and you're right. It's not just a flinching pain but it's certainly not the agony this punk is acting like it is.

>> ^smooman:

ps: having been tased before (among other things) it definitely doesnt tickle, but given the reaction of the man in the video he either has an embarrassingly low pain threshold or is being wildly dramatic

microsoft instantly ships a box out to you

Bah, accidentally replied to deathcow's profile instead of here.

Microsoft no longer sends boxes for red-ringed XBoxes. They send a shipping label. I found this out when I had to send mine in for repair a few months back.

Well thanks =)

I find depreciating humor to be the best way to rebut sweeping generalizations anyhow. Plus it's always funny.

I'm still right and you are still wrong, however. It's science =P

In reply to this comment by EDD:
We may disagree on a LOT of topics, but much respect to anyone who responds to personal attacks like that with self-depreciating humor. That's an instant-win in my book

smooman derives from the show Dinosaurs (remember that show?) there was an episode where Baby was watching TV and all the shows had foul language in them (albeit made up Dinosaur foul language). Smoo was one of those words, along with flark, glimp........and another I cant remember.

I just thought it was a funny word and i plugged it in my online handle and it stuck ever since.

But secretly it means Smoochman which is a euphemism for homo-ass-to-mouth

How a Train Stays on a Track (not as simple as you thought)

as it pertains to the subject matter of this video, give St Augustine's On Free Will of the Mind (I think that's what it's called) a look.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
smooman, first of all let me say that I genuinely believe it's better NOT to try understanding the ideas of folks that you see are deluding themselves rather than presumptuously assuming one knows everything about one's opponent in a debate. I confess to the former 'offense', while you're guilty as charged to the latter.

Now, I hate having to say this, I'm ashamed of it, but - I understand you. And I hate it, me understanding you and all the other religious folks on the planet. You are simple. You're so utterly simple, and it doesn't matter in the slightest which 'teachings' one might base their life on, the delusion will still be simple. Want to know with what authority I'm saying this? Mine. I WAS christian. I've read the bible cover-to-cover. Have you? I've read various other works on christian theology. That was more than 10 years ago - and somehow I guess I just missed the memo to remain stupid and ignorant while I was growing up. So yeah, you can bet your sweet ass my understanding of christianity exceeds that of some 80% US christians, so I do feel extremely confident in saying odds are I understand christianity a lot better than you do.

The difference between us is that I understand why it consists mostly of fairy tales, old dogma and false beliefs as well as how I could interpret selected 'lessons' from the scripture to my life to make me feel better (if I could delude myself sufficiently), while your understanding appears to be limited with the latter. Who's fault is that? Well for one, our civilization's for not having rejected organized religion in the first place and also your parents'/whoever indoctrinated you.

As per our last "discussion" you probably dont like me much but I think i just found some common ground =)

In reply to this comment by Farhad2000:

Given the last 8 years, I believe the Western world needs to engage the Arab world in dialog but it must respect the cultural background of the region and not just think that it can westernize ideas through brute force and seemingly endless criticism of it's religion.

I, for one, absolutely HATE the idea of westernizing Arab and Persian nations (namely Iraq and Trashgan....I mean Afghanistan). One of the platoons in my unit, while we were in Afghanistan, went out on a mission with the objective of demolishing a cannabis field. I was livid when I found out. These are a people who have been a nation far, far longer than we (the USA) and here we are telling them, forcing them even, to be like us while completely disregarding centuries of culture and history. Fuck that!
