John McCain - Going Down

NetRunner says...

In case anyone comes looking to fix this, this was a video collage of photographs from McCain and Bush eating cake, and the wreckage left by Katrina that same day, to the sound track of Led Zepplin's "When the Levee Breaks".

Sharp curve ahead. No really, SHARP CURVE AHEAD!!!

Second victim pulled from Colfax big rig wreckage
By Jenna Nielsen, Journal Staff Writer
The body of a co-driver was extricated this morning by Cal Fire crews at the scene of Monday's big rig rollover crash near Colfax.
The body of a second man was found underneath debris Tuesday morning at the accident site of a big rig rollover near Colfax Monday, officials reported.
The man, whose name is not being released pending notification of his family, was reportedly a passenger in the big rig, which rolled into a guard rail spilling its load of recylced plastic down the embankment near the Magra Road exit on westbound Interstate 80, California Highway Patrol offi-cials reported.
The driver, who was trapped inside of the truck’s cab and was also killed in the accident, was re-portedly going 70 mph and passing another truck in the fast lane when he lost control and slid down an embankment, said CHP Officer Rich Ruiz.
“This morning, as the investigator was going over log books, (it was) determined there was possi-bly a co-driver involved,” Ruiz said.
Ruiz said investigators also have video footage of the accident, recorded by a device on a Wal-Mart truck, which the driver of the big rig was passing at the time of the accident.
“The driver of the WalMart truck was doing 55 mph, so we estimate the driver (of the big rig) was going 70 mph when he approached a curve and lost control. You see in the video the trailer starts to fishtail. When the driver tries to correct, he is sent over the guardrail.”
Battalion Chief Jeff Brand of Cal Fire said crews located the co-driver under the debris and extri-cated him this morning.
Brand said when the truck was overturned, the cab was torn off and wedged beneath the contents of the trailer and the trailer itself.
All westbound lanes were closed as a result of the accident, which occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. All lanes were opened by approximately 7:45 p.m., California Highway Patrol officials said.
Ruiz said the driver of big rig had only had his license for nine days.

I don't feel up to tracking down the URL for the video and newstory but I will give you the jest of it.

The vehicle filming is an 18 wheeler run by Schneider National.

The truck that wrecked lost control due to heavy breaking causing the contents of the trailer to shift. The truck then rolled over the guard railing and tumbled down the hill killing the driver.

It was later discovered after an investigating trooper reviewed the drivers log book that the man killed was a team driver and upon returning to the scene of the accident they found the body of his partner further down the hill in some brush. It was believed that the 2nd man had been asleep in the back of the cab when the accident occurred and had been thrown from the wreckage.

FYI.. buildings that have been taken down by controlled demolition, don't leave molten steel

You might wanna read that section again.

"Any molten steel in the wreckage was more likely due to the high temperature resulting from long exposure to combustion within the pile than to short exposure to fires or explosions while the buildings were standing."

You seem to be of the mindset, that the fire was immediately hot enough to melt the steel(which obviously it wasn't), yet it actually took quite a long period of time for the steel to become molten.

It's entirely feasable, unlike, say... the idea that a whole load of CD guys can rig three whole buildings with explosives, without a single person noticing.

sigh Still going with the: Nobodys giving explanations, crap? Again, bullshit. Explanations are being given. You're just being an ignorant little prick.

The new NIST report does not mention the molten steel beneath the wreckage, witnessed during rescue operations by FDNY who referred to it as "like a foundry." That molten steel remained hot for six weeks.

Also important to note: there is a subset amongst the "troofers" who feel there is not enough information to accuse anyone...but at the same time they believe there are valid questions (like the above) for which there are no satisfactory answers. Yet.

The Reason for the Gaza War

Depends. Some people see these things and are inspired for revenge, particularly those that are directly affected. I don't think everyone would see that person lying on the ground and say to themselves "This has got to stop!" if it were their parent, spouse, or child.

This video didn't need the graphic bomb wreckage shots to make its point. I didn't upvote this because of it.

That said, the only thing I find interesting, and probably what people allude to a conspiracy to is that I haven't seen any clear evidence of a plane crash on the Pentagon/Pittsburgh. Then again, I'm not an expert in plane collisions. So who I am to say how/what happened?

Here are pictures of wreckage at the Pentagon.
http://www.rense.com/general32/phot.htm

I'm sure it was planes. However I'm not sure if there is no conspiracy. I think it's possible that the government suppressed or ignored intelligence. Maybe even demolished WTC 7.

film footage of multiple demolition explosions
Really? I haven't seen it.

The film footage of the plane not being a passenger jet
Really? I haven't seen it.

first person reposts of multiple explosions before the planes hitting and the buildings coming down
Really? I haven't seen it.

The not plane shape hole in the White House
Really? Is a plane supposed to leave a roadrunner like impression on something it crashes into?

The wreckage at the White House not being from a passenger jet and suddenly disappearing
Really? Any proof for this anywhere?

Conveniently finding all the passports of the Hi-jackers
Really? Passport records for airline passengers? Well golly and gee whiz, what will they come up with next.

finding several of the declared hijackers alive, unknowing and well after the fact.
WTF?

leaked internal information that something was going happen that morning.
Really? Between the Pentagon, Whitehouse and CIA there will be the same for every single day the institutions have existed!

reports of workers working for months inside the trade buildings every night in hidden seclusion.
Really? Somebody working alone at night in a 100 story office building, I'm shocked!!!!!

I could go on but my fingers and brain will get sore
Thank you for not, my brain was already getting quite sore.

Comon' people, get your foot out of your asses.
It is not conspiracy to tell the truth.
The truth is that your government is lying to you.

Are you so blind as to give in to dis belief that they could do this and ignore all the facts. Actual facts! like:
-> black boxes being taken by government officials and being hidden away
-> film footage going missing like from the gas station across from the white house
-> actual thermite being discovered at the site
-> the whole clean-up mess being shipped over seas with anyone having a chance to looking at it
-> film footage of multiple demolition explosions
-> The film footage of the plane not being a passenger jet
-> first person reposts of multiple explosions before the planes hitting and the buildings coming down
-> The impossibly quick "pulling" of the third and fourth towers
-> The not plane shape hole in the White House
-> The wreckage at the White House not being from a passenger jet and suddenly disappearing
-> Conveniently finding all the passports of the Hi-jackers
-> finding several of the declared hijackers alive, unknowing and well after the fact.
-> leaked internal information that something was going happen that morning.
-> warnings to upper whitehouse officials to stay out of the building that morning.
-> reports of workers working for months inside the trade buildings every night in hidden seclusion.

I could go on but my fingers and brain will get sore, I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, in fact, ask my friends, I do it too often, even when not warranted, but come on, this is blatantly obvious - OPEN you eyes Americans!!!

Man Against Machine

syncron says...

The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 is not so simple as to summarize with a video of one man standing in front of a tank. To understand the full scope of the incident, it will require a bit of a history and government lesson. Although the cause for the protest was noble, against totalitarian government policy, corruption, and call for democratic reform, the way in which the protests were executed is not acceptable. The crowd that gathered in the square was there for over two weeks, starting in early May, picketing major government institutions, essentially shutting down the central government. It's a wonder that any country's government has so much patience to deal with a situation like that (would love to go picket the white house). Their patience finally ran out and they called in the army on the night of June 3rd. However, the prospect that this was a peaceful demonstration is grossly misinterpreted. The protest had already broken into rioting and looting on the streets. Both soldiers and civilians were killed in the clash, exact death tolls are unknown. Many civilians were simply stomped to death from the massive crowds rushing down the streets, soldiers known to have been beaten and then burned alive, on streets lit with molotov cocktails and burning wreckage. In such a chaotic environment, it's no surprise that many people would die. Where i'm quoting from? I have relatives who were there.

It is generally accepted in China today that the incident was a mistake in both the government and the people's part. It is in my belief that in the same scenario, any other government would have done the same, if not worse. Chinese are quite a riotous people, the smallest incidences when uncontrolled could to balloon into huge ones with rioting and pillaging, you cannot simply compare with protests in America with people holding up signs yelling at each other.

I'm not applauding the Chinese government for being some benevolent one, they have some serious problems. In fact, they have ALOT of problems, but I can still sympathize towards their mammoth duty of running perhaps the most difficult nation in the world to govern. Too much diversity, too many people, too many disagreements. Therefore governance requires a great deal of power to keep the country from going into anarchy, it has been true there since the imperial ages. Honestly, a true democracy in China would be as realistic as true communism, it wouldn't last a year without destroying itself. We here in the US give up certain liberties for "security", the Chinese give up certain freedoms for stability, 'tis the same principal.

Perhaps I can be that one individual who stands against the army of people who upvoted this video. Let this wall o' text be a lesson that every country have their own issues, and we have no right to be judgmental about others when we have so many problems of our own to fix.

PS:
I'd love to see the source which suggests people get shot for trying to leave China. They probably shoot people who try to get in though
Now boycotting the olympics in the name of politics is extremely naive. The whole point of the olympics is for people of the world to temporarily forget their differences and compete in an even playing field.
The censorship does suck though, they need to fix that :-/

Reporters covering the Olympic games can't get decent internet access because of the heavy censorship. Chinese soldiers still shoot people for trying to LEAVE the country. So I posted this in hopes that more people will boycott the Olympics.
