i have seen some climate models that predict as early as 2050 shit is going to hit the fan,while others play it around 2100 (that was the IPCC one).all predicting some really nasty global stuff.

we aint gonna make it to 2100.

because there is something far worse that will affect our societies than climate and thats peak oil.

how come nobody is talking about that?

And also the be fair for the fight, Björnsson wasn't trained on fighting with a sword either. In the book, Gregor is quite skilled with his sword. Sadly, Björnsson mostly swung it around, not a bash against him, but I'm sure with plenty of training and lots of choreography the fight could have been even more exciting.

And yes, the fight plays out nearly how it is in the book, his thirst for justice and vengeance over takes his caution to finish the mountain, hoping he would yield and confess. And ultimately get the confession that Tywin ordered it. Thus to get grounds to possibly get tywin. But alas, the mountain was able to kill him, and even survived the fight... kinda.

I agree, the whole bailout thing was un-American. Thanks W for starting the processes with the airlines and Wall street. At least we got something back with the auto bailouts, but we still artificially kept the near monopoly going strong when it should have failed and split into numerous smaller companies, and paid through the nose to do it.
I also wish we still broke monopolies instead of giving them MORE artificial advantages. It is disgusting how much of our government has whored itself out to the highest bidder.

We had a guy like this on our college campus back in the 90s. He also called himself "Brother" something-or-other and used to stand in the quad yelling at girls that walked by in mini-skirts that they were whores and sluts and would burn in hell. The university protected his right to free speech until the boyfriend of one of the girls he verbally accosted punched him in the jaw and sent him to the hospital. The boyfriend was arrested by campus police and charged with assault.

So moral of the story--in the United States you don't legally have the right to not be offended/insulted in a public space. I'm glad to hear in this news story that other students defended his right to speak freely and while on the one hand I'm glad some students decided to counter-protest him, I can't help but feeling the fastest way to make him go away is to completely ignore him and show how irrelevant both he and his crazy ideas are.
