How Not To Impress Girls, or Cops

Not caused by being either drunk, or clumsy. Merely stupidity (admittedly though, potentially caused by drunken clumsiness)
I watched this a couple times and thought to myself "Hell, I've jack-rabbited my bike a more than a few times, why the hell did he get so much air on a wheelie right away?"
Upon closer inspection, I realized he's sitting stupidly far back on his bike, and if you watch in full screen it becomes clear that he's actually sitting on his passenger seat. Meaning that his center of mass is located directly above his rear wheel, the one that gives the power. After that it just becomes simple pivot physics.
jack-rabbiting, taking off very quickly from a dead stop.

Aye. Noticed he was sitting WAY too far back from the get go. What a knob

Terrifying motorcycle crash at the Daytona 200

Interesting, but I wouldn't say terrifying. At least not to the viewer. The ones I call terrifying are when the riders are doing cartwheels and more bikes are plowing into them. That's what I expected from the title.

Well, I'm a rider and the thought of going over my handlebars at over 170 miles per hour terrifies me. I'll be sure and ask Westby and Knapp to next time make sure their crash is more spectacular for your benefit.

Hey, I'm just throwing out an opinion here, as a viewer. Those guys look like they're sliding on ice, which is not very terrifying to watch.

Much closer to "terrifying":

She did it as a joke apparently...
"But bank worker Ms Bale said she does not know what all the fuss is about. adding: "It's just a cat."
She told The Sun: "I don't know what came over me, but I suddenly thought it would be funny to put it in the wheelie bin, which was right beside me.
"I did it as a joke because I thought it would be funny. I never thought it would be trapped. I expected it to wriggle out of the bin.""

So, yeah @gwiz665 - per the below information - most definitely not bullshit. It's a quick trip from words to action. I think I may have mentioned this before- but the things we say and write have consequences and repercussions - and sometime amplify out into the wider world.

She's been identified (
Sky News article
). She's being offered police protection due to the amount of anger and death threats against her:
"A woman who was filmed putting a cat in a wheelie bin has been offered police protection after being identified by the RSPCA.
The grey-haired suspect was tracked down after she was caught on CCTV by the cat's owners, Daryll and Stephanie Mann, at their Coventry home.
Sky's Lisa Dowd said the woman was being offered police protection because of the "level of vitriol against her".
She said residents in Coventry were extremely angry, and death threats had been made against the woman on the internet.
"West Midlands Police are taking her safety extremely seriously," she said."

I thought the cop showed reasonable but not perfect professionalism. Should have identified himself with a badge but he showed good muzzle control (wait, did he off safety with the other hand?). @NordlichReiter has a point though because even knowing that the guys was a cop before watching the video I had the impulse to hit the throttle when seeing a guy get out of a very uncoplike car with a pistol. I probably would have slammed right into him in my panic.

And @Shepppard you're right about him making all the rest of us look bad for being on bikes and this is no place to F around, but at the same time I gotta say a wheelie is not as remarkable event as a non-rider would think. All in all I agree with @choggie "All is as it should be".
