Dog risks own life to try to save another dog

I thought of Thailand and the enormous stray dog population there. Thailand dogs would eat or hump a brother if they saw him down like that dog. (I'm refering to the dogs there, not the people). Very touching (If he wasn't then eaten by the other dog)

We had a video with a turkey being shoved headfirst into a grinder and nobody called snuff on that. This seems to me like a very touching and saddening display of caring amoungst animals.

Yes, it was the last film I watched before leaving Canada. It was very touching, I had always enjoyed Edith Piaf's songs got exposed to her via my mum the first time I watched Saving Private Ryan, she can be heard singing in the last scene before the soliders face off against the advancing germans. My mum said it was Edith Piaf. Later on I came across her songs, some of them are on VS.

The movie was amazing, I was afraid that the actress wouldn't be able to capture her intensity but she pulled it off, very touching... I think the most touching scene for me personally was when her lover died, she sees him come to her...she runs out to find his gift... her servants stand eerily silent... slowly it dawns on you that he is dead and she is the last person to understand that.

The ending was beautiful, it managed to show her as being a talented woman with many flaws as well, in effect it humanized her.

This film along with the Black Book were the best cinema experiences I had before coming back to Kuwait where movies are butchered for censorship purposes.

true, but "cute" on this site really applies more to things that you would see on cuteoverload . . .this is very touching, but not cute.

kittens cuddling, otters flirting, pandas sliding down slides, puppies drooling . . .now that is cute.

and this one is going straight to the top. very nice sift.

More about this video from YouTube:
This is from a documentary shown on Channel 4 in the UK called 'Young@Heart'; the name of the New England octogenarian chorus line. The performer here is Fred Mittle, who suffers from congestive heart failure. This song was intended to be a duet between Fred and another chorus member, Bob Salvini. Sadly, Bob died of a heart attack and it was left to Fred to carry the song on his own. If I'm correct, the people you see crying at 01:13 are Bob's family. The lady you occasionally see mouthing the lyrics in the audience is Fred's wife.

There were some very touching scenes where we see Fred rehearsing alone soon after Bob's death. It was an incredible film. ...
