The sad part is that Alterac Valley came out 5 years ago, and it was more fun then (with shittier computers) than WoW will ever be. Vanilla AV is definite proof, to me at least, that more is not necessarily better.

Don't blame the Chinese market because they will probably BAN WoW because it now has Pandas. Apparently you cannot depict a panda dying in Chinese media or something, they don't like it. So it's going to be interesting to see what happens when this expansion launches in China.

Heh. I remember something like that for the original Guild Wars. There was a Panda pet in the early beta of the game that had to be removed because the Chinese didn't like it. Or something.

God damn, every time I watch these I feel embarrassed for the first few minutes or so. They are just so completely vanilla. But then I get into it and I watch it like fifty times and apologize to everyone on facebook for posting it.

Teaching is one of the few things I think really can not be understood in theoretical terms. I thought I was fully prepared for my first teaching job after student teaching, but they don't tell you that some students will challenge your authority, some have parents who don't care, some have parents who think their children can do no wrong, some will miss class constantly, some will refuse to learn, some will disrupt, some will lack confidence, some have horrific home lives, some are extremely forgetful, some lie about being extremely forgetful, some never eat, some come to class hopped up on RedBull, some are homeless, and some, are so far gone they are nearly unreachable.

In a class of 25-30 you can hope for 5-10 'vanilla' students who have problems that are easily manageable. The rest are the ones you always work towards the best for, but that work must always be balanced so that it's of minimal detriment to said students' classmates.

It's a very difficult job and your callus remarks have made me respect you less.

That is probably more true than you know.

i hope i'm not disrespecting americans knowledge of all things pancake. after all they did come up with the microwaveable jimmy dean pancake and sausage on a stick. sausage wrapped in pancake. microwaveable. with choc chips. on a stick. and microwaveable.

Mix dry and wet ingredients seperately, then whisk together until lump-free, let stand until thickened, and then cook on medium heat. After about 30 seconds in the pan I add some sort of fruit combination into the pancake including blueberry, raspberry, pineapple, strawberry, apple, etc. I then cover the fruit with some more batter. Blueberry & pineapple is an especially delicious combo. Cook until golden on each side, then top with maple syrup or whipped cream (or both).
