Buy a Yugo for 3990!!!
During my early years in the USAF as a gate guard, a lady came driving up in a brand-new Yugo during ID checks. "Only 3995!" she said, all proud of herself.
She leaned her head back, and the headrest fell right off. Not just loose, fell right the hell off...man it was hard to keep a straight face!

Good to hear. Ive only trained for about 5 months, 6th kyu. I train with Sorrentino and Laskey Sensei. I havent been to a class with Saotome, though I know I should.

Yeah I train locally here in NJ with an Aikido club associated with the USAF, I try to make it to NY's dojo whenever I can and take Yamada's class. When I was in Florida I trained with Donovan and many other great USAF and ASU senseis. It's been about 4 years for me, I purposely haven't tested but I usually help out with teaching beginners and train alongside 1st kyus and sho/nidans. I'm very lucky to have a 6th Dan as my instructor locally though!
In reply to this comment by NordlichReiter:
Do you train in any Japanese Traditional arts?
I train in ASU - Aikido in the DC area, I saw your vids and Bio and thought I would ask.

looong before i knew it was that, as well.
SR-71 Blackbird extremely low fly-by (20 sec)
Rhesus: Did Navy pilots ever fly the SR-71? It seems like it would be the USAF. I'm pretty darn sure the SR-71 has never taken off or landed on a carrier.
Wikipedia page for SR-71 has no mention of the Navy.

Good jorb!
USAF, really? Enh, chair force should be pretty safe.
heh. true. until the Army and Marines are so exploited and stopgapped that they're tossing rifles to smurfs. give it a few months. so, as much as i can't recommend the armed services, until such time as control of the leviathan force is in more intellectually capable hands?
uhoh does have one requisite, that my branch specializes in.

Thanks! And I get to be Schmawy's first... sift party that is. I feel so honored! I promise, when the apocalypse comes, I'll do my utmost best to spare all of your brains. Except BillO's, all 10 calories worth, no promises there.
Never fear, I would frequent the sift even if they sent my ass to Iraq.
Don't worry Schmawster, you still have more star points than me. Like you said, it's cheaper than most forms of entertainment and I love the community so I've been plugging away and making my mark. Sadly, I'm going to have to be taking a break later this year because I'm due to ship out to USAF basic training in September.
The USAF sent a DMCA takedown notice for this video. Why?

Air Force's $81 million dollar advertising push. 1st ad.
I like this recruitment ad, the USAF is badass.

...if we can only keep politicians and compliant military officials from unconstitutionally selling weapons abroad.
Air Force Basic Training

Sorry for the late response, I've been terribly busy warring on a sift about "remote viewing", of all things. What I wrote to Jonny:
"By the by, I took a bit to go look for my notes I took while watching that video of the cat on LSD, but I can't find the right binder. The info I've found is this: the experiments were performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base by Dayton, OH as part of the MKULTRA project. I'll check around a bit more and tell you if I find my notes.
*edit* The video uploader says: I took this clip from 'Thomas Pynchon: A Journey Into the Mind of TP', a movie-documentary by Donatello & Fosco Dubini (2001). Hope that helps."
In reply to this comment by calvados:
Can you provide some exposition on the full version and/or point us to a video link?
In reply to this comment by rembar:
LadyBug, I understand where you're coming from, but I can't say I agree. I don't have time to do an informative writeup, but I had to watch the full version of the USAF LSD experiments and then comment on the process and results. I certainly wasn't sifting this video for giggles, I was hoping to add some info, but I got distracted trolling drforeverclear. *sigh*. I had been hoping to make this more of an informative post, rather than something "for posterity" or "you need to see this" or whatnot.
To this end, I am posting a documentary about the Milgram experiment and others.
