Truck Attempts A Ship Boarding On Sketchy Planks

radx says...

I suspect one of four ways:

a) unloaded onto the pier in a similar manner,
b) jacked up and placed on rollers,
c) 107 point turn, Austin Powers style
d) or plain old elbow grease.

How did they get the truck lined up in it's initial position on such a narrow pier?

Today on C.G.W.-Cop Goes Into GTA Mode And Runs Down Suspect

newtboy says...

The cop has been cleared of all criminal charges, sending the message that if you're threatening to commit suicide, the cops will be glad to oblige and try to kill you and suffer no consequence for (attempted) homicide whatsoever.
Also sending the message that running down a human being at full throttle is an acceptable police tactic against a suspect that's already surrounded rather than trying ANY less lethal method.

New video shows that the man was holding the gun to his own chin, and newly released information shows that he didn't use the gun to commit crimes, he stole the gun at Walmart right before the video and only fired it into the air once (perhaps to unload it? More likely to prove it's loaded.).

It's getting really old, Mr. Po-po, and turnabout's considered fair play. You might think about that, and the fact that 10% of Americans are armed and have severe impulse control issues.

A Mini Cooper being made

RFlagg says...

I found it odd/funny when the guy unloads the hoods which have been automated to that point, from the robots onto a pallet, where it goes back to full automation again. I'd think that step would be just as easy to automate.

Also like how the line seems to stop to let robots to their work while the humans are on a moving line. Like when the robots drop the windshields in, full stop, all human work the line keeps going. Lol.

I agree the thumbnail is odd. I could see it if it was a tube chop and the part about design and mold making was cut out. Not upset it wasn't there, but odd thumbnail when you start much later in the process. Also sad we see the engine go up, but don't see the process of it actually being assembled or the next few steps like wheels and the like all going on, just skip from the engine going up to final screws and testing.

Two Excellent Examples Of How Gun Control Can And Does Work

JustSaying says...

Wow.
That's super stupid, dude. I really don't want to insult you here BUT (yes, every asshole got one) what you wrote there is so much beyond silly or naive, there's no other word for it.
Let's cut the crap here, what you imply with "black youth" is gangmembers, right? We're talking gangs and gang violence. Well, these guys don't walk into a gun store and just buy their Glocks with a credit card. Most of them would probably buy them in illegal ways (because commiting crimes with guns licensed in your name is dumb) so gun legislation has not such an big impact on them anyways.
What the gun laws impact and what causes people to get upset and demanding more regulation is when "black youths" who are armed with skittles and ice tea get shot by scared "latin middleageds". It's when psychologically damaged, middleclass, white teens take their parents guns to school to each everyone a lesson, as seen in Columbine or Newtown. That's why people want regulation.
Criminals will always have access to guns, they don't have to rely on the NRA's uncanny ability to block all progress. Criminals is not who you have to worry here.
It's the dipshits and psychos. The schoolshoters, the parents that aren't able to keep their guns from their kids, the idiots who can't clean a gun while it's unloaded, people who have to stand their ground in the face of loud music, they're the problem. The so called responsible gun owners.

I don't care for your racism and even less for this weird and idiotic idea that black people with their violent music are the problematic aspect of american gun culture. Not everbody should have a gun, some people are simply not responsible enought for it and not all kinds of guns need to be available either. Or are you trying to tell me now that the Bushmaster .223 caliber XM15-E2S rifle is designed for hunting?

So what you are saying is that the lawmakers are bowing to NRA lobbyists and not passing laws that would disarm black youth.

I'd love to know what laws would disarm black youth.

CCTV footage of Brisbane gunman's mall siege

Sagemind says...

Well, lucky for him, it wasn't in the US, then. He may not think so at this point but one day he will .

His gun was unloaded, He was trying to get police to shoot him. Must be a tough life where a guy has to live with so much anger and pain, that he self destructs in this way. Hope he gets the help he needs so badly.

You can be shot by an unloaded gun

draak13 says...

This isn't moronic in this slightest; When she says, 'many people have been killed by an unloaded gun,' she is talking about the subject as a metaphoric unloaded gun...because she passed high school english, and she can do that. The idea that 'an unloaded gun can still kill' is actually an extremely common rule in gun safety. Many accidents happen every year because people pull the trigger of a gun that seems harmless with the clip empty, but with a bullet accidentally left in the chamber. This is the reason that you never point any gun, loaded or not, at any living thing without killing intent.

Given that the bill is for the general public of the state of california, does it seem probable that one of those millions of people might not have the sensibility required to maintain proper gun safety? Further, does it seem probable that at least 1 death will happen in the next few years because this bill has passed? How many probable deaths are warranted before something like this shouldn't be passed?

This issue is not black and white.

I suspect she could be referencing a statement commonly heard after many accidental shootings, that statement being "I didn't think it was loaded". I might be wrong, she could be such an imbecile that she actually believes someone could be shot by an unloaded gun. If that makes me a moron then I'm okay with that, because it's pretty much a human constant, we're all morons at some point or another, kind of like death I guess. Of course, if you die while being a moron then that's an extra special distinction.

entr0py says...

Exactly. Even though the sound byte sounds stupid at first, the only reason you would have an unloaded gun in a holster is if you had bullets in your pocket. Sure it takes a few seconds to load them, but you're still pretty damn dangerous walking around that way.
