Johnny Carson with Christopher Reeve - 1979!!

mintbbb says...

After Christopher Reeve passed away, 'Aint It Cool News' posted a story (I don't know who the actual author is, sorry), and it really touched me, especially this part:

'At the age of seven years old, I wrote three heroes of mine for their autograph. The only one that responded was Christopher Reeve. 8 months after I mailed it, in an envelope one day came a small 3x5 photograph of Superman autographed “To Harry, Christopher Reeve”.

As an Eagle Scout that believes in Truth, Justice and the American Way… that believed when that man flew, that a man could fly… every issue of Action, Adventure, World’s Finest, Superboy, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen and Superman… in every word bubble that came out of a Curt Swan's Supes' head, I heard Christopher Reeve. I don’t believe any actor will ever completely own a role so perfectly as Chris owns SUPERMAN. '

God bless his soul! He was such a great man, inside and out!

Once again, another incident that puts the power in the hands of the adolescents. Most confrontations will now end with "you can't touch me, I'll get you fired."

Japanese Whaling Ship Shears Bow off High Speed Anti-Whaler

Mandtis says...

Idling?? I see it moving against another ship, and a big one. Not that I know much about ships, but if I was the one on the small high-tech touch-me-and-i-will-break-down ship, I would have steered away from the big i-eat-whales-for-breakfast ship instead of "idling" against it.

It was sign language for, "Please help me. Michael J. Fox touched me earlier in his trailer."

>> ^alizarin:
I'm pretty sure that was sign for:
Elizabeth Shue, come here and touch my penis.
>> ^redyellowblue:
Yes creepy, but does anyone here know sign language? Could he be deaf and was signing something to Marty?

I am very excited to learn that I am the epitome of an entire segment of the internet population. I would like to accept this honor and thank my mother for providing me an overblown sense of 'self'. Thanks also go to my childhood priest, for not touching me in a manner that would turn me into a drunk who makes angry comments on the internet at 1:30 in the morning. Oh, I would also like to thank the public school system for teaching me absolutely no useful grammar or spelling skills.

"Why Bank Of America Fired Me"

If you think companies don't have power over your life or affect the quality of your life, you are not paying attention.

Please elaborate. I do not see how any company can possibly effect the quality of my life currently because I'm not in debt to them. They can't take my possessions. They can't charge me fees. They can't take my money. They can't take my car or my home. They can't force me to alter how I live or act. I'm not in a position where I have allowed myself to be vulnerable to such things.

Are you talking about the financial collapse? I've come through it totally uneffected. No brag. Just fact. I was smart. I didn't borrow money I didn't need. I didn't engage in risky investments. I didn't flip properties, buy cars I couldn't afford, or anything else. Because I played it smart, the crisis has gone by and it hasn't touched me.
