As long as we Americans want to waste cheap electricity and drive SUVs, we don't really get to complain about where it comes from. Sure, fracking needs some common sense regulation, but let's talk about how many people have died to maintain our supply of cheap foreign oil.

I want to make a reverse camera system like the ones in the Infiniti SUVs. Where the camera views are stitched together into a "bird's eye" view around your car.

Shite like this is the reason I moved out of California, living in good old Saint Paul, Minnesota now. Oxnard California is like a mini-Oakland. Here I have a 3000sf home built in 1901, 1 mile from downtown and no worries. My daughter is 10mos, one due in July, and we so enjoy walks in the neighborhood in the summer. My stepson walks to baseball 1 mile away, we meet him there pushing baby and walking dog, walk home as an American Family. It makes it all worth while. My wife is a CPA but I am a blue collar truck driver.

I think there are ALL KINDS of problems that lead to places like this in Cali... Fresno is almost as bad. Parts of the low desert are very bad, etc. If you want to write 2 page posts defending your view of WHY, maybe that's one of the reasons why as well, and you should define it, man up, and put it in there at number 12 or whatever. Sure "democratic stronghold" is part of the problem. American counter-culture has also been rewarding consumerism above all else for decades. Asians, Latinos, and Blacks cash in today and sell out tomorrow. The west coast is also way too expensive, real estate is too high, and money is the only incentive.

Obviously there is a problem. The left wants to look at answers that sound might or will help but accountability cant be ignored. The right wants to go to war and justify a police state when we are all Americans defining our on future together.

As a side note I might have had 10-15 encounters with these types over the years in and around Oxnard and if their skin was white and I was armed, maybe they would have died...or me. Who knows, there are always more than one way to deal with a problem. In the end the minorities pay the price and it isn't fair. They get worse jobs, their property isnt worth ShXXt, their children receive a poor education. Cookie-cutter whites, in the end, benefit on the left. The drive their Volvo SUVs on highways to schools or doctors or what have you paid for by the masses.

The SUV turns out to be stolen and the driver was eventually arrested.

Why dint the SUV guy simply start going super-slow on that long straight-a-way, call fucking 911 or the Highway Patrol and just keep moving?

Another scenario, one that's a bit more risky: He could have, when the first biker started clocking him, simply swerved slowly from right to left across all three lanes impeding the safe passage of Team Asshat.

Again, in the city, when they close in on him...swerve, swerve, swerve...Those dicks would have bailed long before they stopped him, unless they have the dipshit death wish, against which there be no reasonable defense except the 'hulk smash.'

The SUV driver, making a wild assumption here, doesn't look like the type to irrationally do road rage while driving around with wife and child on their wedding anniversary...

I think he might well have started subtly fucking with a small group of bikers that was actually much larger and more aggressive than he anticipated. Tempers and ego's do deeply irrational things to peoples behaviour and 2-5 tonnes of SUV can have a similar effect to several years of steroid abuse.

I know this because I have had cars/SUV's packed with whole families pull out on me, deliberately block lanes, shout abuse etc. because dad's subconscious knows he's driving a 3T death machine and that makes him feel invincible etc.

You are in no position to guarantee anything here any more than I. I'm not saying you are wrong either, Bikers can be absolute cunts in gangs (especially full on sports bikes and harley's who I generally don't get on with).

Things escalate and while I'm not saying no-one ever got victimised I'm also saying most altercations don't just fall out of the sky.

I'm not for a moment disputing that the bikers largely acted like arseholes, but I am suggesting the SUV driver likely at least did something to garner their ire. Maybe it was just over him calling the police. Maybe he was shouting "i'll show you" etc. and deliberately getting in their way as some of the bikers claim.

Maybe, just maybe....the us vs them mindset many people are displaying in this thread is exactly the same behavioural force that ultimately created the incident in this video . "I hate Bikers they ride like aggressive dicks" "I hate Cagers cause they drive with their head up their arse".

I'm very much trapped in the middle over a lot of things here but I think it's better to try and understand something rather than feeling the need to take sides. It was the unchecked human need to take sides and throw objectivity out of the window that facilitates this kind incident in the 1st place after all.

Lacking an engine makes a huge difference.

I heard it scored 5.4 stars out of 5 and it rates better than other types of vehicles, even minivans and SUVs.

I don't think the summary quite does the video justice. I'd think "Impala leaps through window of SUV to escape cheetah's" would be more accurate. Was expecting it to just hop into the back of a pickup, not throw itself through the window. Crazy!
