The problem with that stratagem is that it misleads the public in the long run -- builds consensus upon the illusory downside because not even the more liberal candidate is willing to deny it.

Politics can be a race to the center. But like sumo wrestling, you can use your opponent's strength against him as he charges towards you dodge out of the way.

How many more people are going to be against emergency contraception as a consequence of both parties' feigning belief in the sanctity of 3 day old microscopic embryos in their respective propaganda campaigns?

Why every guy should buy their girlfriend Wii Fit

where's the Wii controller?
and is this an advert?

Wii Fit comes packaged with a Wii Balance Board. The Balance Board has a couple scales that measure where you plant your weight. The inspiration for the board came from watching Sumo wrestlers weigh in. Too massive for one scale, most sumo wrestlers are weighed in using 2 scales - one under each foot.

The Balance Board lets developers tap into even more physical movements to base their games on. We Ski, another Wii game, uses the Balance Board as one possible input scheme.

In this example, underwear babe is playing the Hula Hoop game. Here, the balance board is used to measure your weight shifting in a circular motion (left ball, right ball, right heel, left heel, etc) as your hips gyrate like they would if you were using a real hula hoop. At specific intervals, your in-game character is thrown another hoop, which needs to be caught by shifting your weight to one side.

From roguwrx's dupe post of the same:

OMFUCKINGGOD. Subaru Forester is my dream car (just got one for graduation, thank you very much). The Electric Six is one my favorite bands (seen them twice live, ridiculously awesome show). And I guess pseudo-Sumo play fighting nudity is up my sick-sense-of-humor alley, too. This ad sums me up perfectly.
Btw, the lyric IS actually "Fire in the disco, fire in the Taco Bell."

Dude, I heard taco bell, but it just can't be taco bell. Like obviously not that.

The Third Roast on Friday! (Parody Talk Post)

blankfist says...

Is that you in the picture (on your profile), Karaidl? But he's just a kid! I can't be mean to him! I looked at his avatar, and I had seen what I thought was the big Sumo guy from UFC 3, and I just expected him to be around my age. Oh well, if he's over 18, I'm game to chip into the roast.

By the way, who wrote that questionnaire? Was it Choggie? LOL

What Hits Harder? Sumo Wrestlers or Rampage Jackson

rembar says...

Cool, but this way, way oversimplifies the physics of hitting. It's not simply F = MA, because strength of a hit is more closely a function of pressure (force per unit area), as well as a bunch of other things (placement, continual pressure, etc.). There isn't a good comparison between a sumo charge and a punch, because the charge is force over a large area intended to knock an opponent over, while a punch is intended to hit the head/chin at a small area and cause concussive trauma to the brain.

Also, Rampage Jackson is a maniac, and I love him.
