Ron Paul Newsletters - Innocent or Guilty?

vaire2ube says...

Sure. There were multiple copies, or Dr. Paul was shown some and not others and every other one was a fuck up... and no one complained to the right people at the time to reach Dr. Paul directly about the issue, in time for him to do something... except when he does find out, he does the incredible thing of ACTUALLY taking responsibility for NOT KNOWING and saying he should have. Wow, that must mean he can't make decisions, because information was actively held from him.

Dr. Paul has the brains and dedication to become a physician, and the drive to become a statesmen.

Somewhere in all that, he didnt have time to personally prevent everyone in the world from trying to smear him or take actions that would impact him negatively. Maybe he was really busy, in a way that most politicians are NOT. How would we even know what kind of schedule he had to maintain?.

Someone did it in a way THEY KNEW would ensure their anonymity (because Ron Paul did not write the racist articles), perhaps by their position of trust in the company, or with tacit approval by one or more people attempting to subvert a cause for their own.

written misinformation is surely not all it takes to win you over, even in the face of other reasonable facts. keep looking.

Worst Persons - Countdown 12-12-2011

Trancecoach says...

It is.
It's not enforced.
Or, more precisely, the laws are for those who can't afford to have such laws subverted.>> ^longde:

The first section about the flawed graph is so true. It should be against the law to broadcast such a blatant lie on the air for a news network.

I learn so much about what I believe when I talk with you. And here I thought I wanted to reform our election system so that corporations could not so easily subvert the democratic process. And here I thought I wanted to reform our economic system so that corporations were held responsible for their actions and not allowed to siphon and hoard societal wealth. Who knew that I was such a fan of the global corporate empire? And who knew that removing all barriers to corporate wealth and power would result in liberty? It sounds so unintuitive and absurd on it's face that I would not have believed it had I not learned it from someone in possession of such formidable mental prowess. Your advanced wisdom is truly indistinguishable from magic. Expecto Patronum Mano Invisablo!

That's twice now you've put words in my mouth or argued I position I didn't make. And you have the gall to pretend I'm misrepresenting you? LOL

Keep ignoring the core of the corruption. And keep supporting Wall Street solutions to Wall Street created problems. It's worked beautifully so far.

^The more we deregulate, privatize, cut taxes for the wealthy and cut services for the rest, the worse things get. Unregulated capitalism has become its own worse enemy. If we want to save capitalism from itself, we need regulate it, so that it can not be used as a weapon to subjugate the working poor, the middle class and labor. The economic reforms you call for are the same reforms called for by corporatists and plutomists like the Kochs, The Scaifes, Luntz, Norquist among other corporate elites. How is it that you can rail against crony capitalists and regurgitate their propaganda in the same sentence? In my opinion, it is be you are being manipulated to put for an agenda that appeals to your base nature by people who could not care less about you.
Unregulated capitalism has brought us:
-Vast Income Inequality
-High Unemployment
-Wage Cuts while productivity continues to rise
-Endless War for profit, oil
-Massive political corruption at every level of government
The 'free market' you dream of is a pie in the sky, no different from St. Peter and the Pearly Gates or 72 Virgins. "Free" Market ideology has been at work in American Government for over 30 years, and it has resulted in the creation of a global corporate state that is anything but free. Stop making excuses for failure. It's OK to admit you were wrong. Being wrong only becomes problem when your foolish pride hinders you from assessment. Pull your head out of the sand. @marbles

Good Job. I link an essay that specifically identifies the problems and you respond with hollow partisan talking points that ignore the problems. Nationalizing risk by the big banks and privatizing profits is not free market capitalism, no matter how much you claim it to be.
Free market ideology didn't create a global corporate state. Putting our economy in the hands of a select few did. The Federal Reserve is an above the law private banking cartel. And whether you believe in a free market or not is irrelevant. Believing that Wall Street politicians are going to solve the problems that they help create is the real delusion.
Banks have taking over the government. Your solution: Support Wall Street puppets and regurgitate their talking points.
Banks have taking over the regulatory agencies. Your solution: Pass more Wall Street written regulations.
Government uses our tax money to bailout corporations and wage war around the world. Your solution: Give them more money to funnel to the top and fund more death and destruction.
So who's really being manipulated here? The corporate shadow government is erecting bars around your glass house and you're busy parroting their talking points. Good job pal.

dude.
are you even aware of how contradictory your arguments have been of late?

Contradictory like: "[strawmen arguments] is all i have seen you post ... you make some salient points"?

But evidently I'm the one that's oblivious. So please do tell.

and the irony of calling people out for using strawmen arguments when that is all i have seen you post?

Wrong thread pal. But again, please do tell.

i write this with all sincerity and humility because i feel your heart is in the right place, but man..your arguments are conflations smashed with contradictions.
you make some salient points and then confuse your entire premise with smashing them with red herrings and gobldegook rhetoric.
stay on point brother,
and disagreeing with DFT is fine but questioning his intellect or sanity is a step i would recommend against.
he does not suffer fools lightly and your arguments have left you wide open for a smack down.
just my friendly two cents.

I don't know what a "conflation smashed with contradictions" is, but I would suspect your post is a lot closer than anything I've posted here.

Seriously I appreciate the concern and the Bible reference about suffering fools, but I hope that's not a swipe my intellect or sanity. For that would subvert your whole neutral status, now wouldn't it?

Go back to mindless cheerleading and let DFT fight his own battles. Or rather, babble ad hominem static in-between championing Wall Street agendas.

and by what means did you derive my intentions?
crystal ball? voodoo?
you got me wrong scooter.
you aint got the first clue who i am.
my comment and intentions were sincere.YOU projected your own bullshit which had nothing to do with me.
any inclination i may have had to elucidate further on some of my points has evaporated due to your own feeble understandings of who i am.
so you go right ahead and believe whatever bullshit you want to believe concerning me based on nothing but your own limited perceptions.
because frankly...i dont give a shit.

That's irrelevant, I'm not blaming them.

Message from Anonymous to the 99% Occupying Wall Street

Tymbrwulf says...

>> ^BoneRemake:

Replace my old rant with a question.
Has this group done something noticeable yet ? I mean a measurable change in something, another way to phrase it would be "have they done anything they said they would "
I am most ignorant on this group.

Small stuff like the arrest of Chris Forcand, world-wide protesting against Scientology(Project Chanology), created a website during the Iran protests along with Pirate Bay and other hackers to subvert censorship of news and happenings in Iran to Iranians, they helped Wikileaks set up mirrors around the world when everyone was trying to censor the leaks that were being released, they were instrumental in taking down the websites of the Tunisian, Egyptian, and Libyan governments during their respective protests, they destroyed HBGary's credibility(a company competing for a government contract to create false identities online in order to subvert political movements), they attempted to boycott Koch Industries products because of the Koch brothers' history of donating money to political groups that try and destroy the middle class, retaliated against Sony (completely disabling the Playstation Network for over a month) after they prosecuted a fellow named George Hotz for his work on developing open-source software on the Plastation 3, organized protests against BART officers who disabled cell phone service to attempt to disrupt protestors from assembling violently after a police shooting.

Here you can find some more information if you'd like to read about it. I've been following them for a while now and this seems to be relatively accurate.

@Stormsinger of course 99% of them are script kiddies, but that 1% has a terryfing knowledge of 0day exploits and computers and is extremely proficient in doing whatever the hell they want to do.

In my experience, these guys want one thing more than most:

1. Freedom of information

If anything gets in the way of that, they will do what they can to try and destroy it.

O'Reilly: Protesters Don't Want to Work

Taint says...

You're too disabled to hold a job but can hang out and go to concerts?

I hope your comment was sarcasm, because the compassion, empathy, and basic human decency of the left is subverted and weakened by people living off of the generosity and hard work of their neighbors for no legitimate reason beyond their own sloth and contemptible selfishness.

I don't want to wish this for any human being, but I really hope there is something very seriously wrong with you, and that's a foreign thought for me to have.

So instead of thinking the worst about someone, I'd prefer to hope they are legitimately impaired in some way that justifies their life of leisure while others work to provide it.

Oh, also, O'Reilly is a complete hypocrite and a tool.

>> ^cito:

well he is telling the truth about me, I've been up there protesting and I damn sure don't want to work
course im protesting for hell of it as many of my friends are, 3 of us are on disability.
so we have been showing up mainly for the live music, there's been several bands doing free concerts and such it's been great!
