Raw Video: Teen Attacks School Bus Driver

jacobrecker says...

Wow that's messed up. I'm surprised she didn't go unconscious after the first hit near her temple. Did she stop the bus once he got up there? I couldn't tell. If she was still moving she could have slammed on the brakes and demonstrated to him why he needed to sit down.

The same could be said about your typing.

Cop Leaps from One Speeding Car To Another, Hollywood Style

Enzoblue says...

This is freakin' stupid, just let the guy go ffs. You can't tell me they're not doing more endangering by shooting at him from a moving vehicle with a freakin' assault rifle.

"Option B men, lets back off and go to his house after lunch". click, "Cameras are rolling sir...", click, "Oh yeah, stay with A then. I need some options", click, "G36 from Ned's car?", click, "More prime time", click, "Have Ned jump over and beat on 'em, then throw him out while the car's still moving??", click, "Genius. You got the ball Ned", click.

Can you sail downwind faster than the wind?

rkone says...

The treadmill is a good tool. Sure, relative to the handles there's no wind, but relative to the tread, there is wind. Think of standing on a moving sidwalk. If the sidewalk moves fast enough, even inside a building you'd feel wind blowing against you.

Also, this device doesn't break any laws of physics - it's not a perpetual motion device because when you take away its power source (the wind), it will slow down and stop on its own.

This is just an ingenious method from extracting more power from the wind than you could by friction alone. The sailboat link from above is another good example of this, one can sail almost directly into the wind and even against the current and still move forward relative to the shore.

Star Trek XI Trailer

Ryjkyj says...

Since when is building a spaceship outside, in the middle of the desert a good idea?
And is it just me or does Spock look all pissed off at 1:25?

EDIT: Oh, and it doesn't look to me like he's violating any laws of physics:

1. Kirk and the car are moving towards the canyon.
2. Kirk jumps from the car in the opposite direction.
3. The force from his jump slightly increases the car's velocity while just slightly decreasing his own.
4. He hits the ground still moving towards the canyon but friction caused by his hands trying to dig into the dirt is enough to slow him.

Stupid? Yes. Still possible? Yes.

Question is: why the fuck would someone do that anyway? In the context of the preview it seems totally pointless. Oh right, it's a JJ Abrams movie.

Jim James of My Morning Jacket - Steam Engine

Deano says...

I love MMJ. My favourite band without a doubt. Evil Urges is monumentally good and I recommend it to everyone. Not sure if I prefer It Still Moves but it's a corker nevertheless.

Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler

ElJardinero says...

Some songs have a long lifespan, years later they still move you the same way as the first time you heard them.
That said, this is still one of the most annoying and crappy songs ever created.

Sorry I just had to go there

Okay Everyone, We Need To Have A Chat About Snuff & Iraq (Sift Talk Post)

MarineGunrock says...

I think that we should have both *NSFW and *graphic. To me, that means that people that want to view regular NSFW videos can do so, while avoiding those that have the *graphic tag.

Jonny, no that wasn't insensitive, and I see your point. But I think that it's different with me. I was there, and witnessed this stuff first hand. I will always remember that.
But for other people - the ones that have become complacent - it is a lot easier for them to push those types of things out of their minds. It has no earned place for them.

I still move for a *graphic tag and a war channel. Filter them both out by default, so the people that don't want to see them don't ever have to worry about it.

Wow that's fubared

escape421521 says...

An unfortunate confrontation of two widely perpetuated stereotypes maybe?

I now have a strong dislike for everyone in this video. Except maybe the grammy. I mean, police officer loses control (choke-hold excessive), skater can't shoot for shit (take off the hell-spawned excessory that is the fish-eye!), and the rest of the kids are dumb as shit for trying to run away. Even the one kid who tries to make himself appear "in the right", by saying, 'I'm gonna stay here . . ." still moves away from the 'scene', prompting the officer to chase him down as well. Grammy had everything right. Regardless of how wrong it might seem, when a cop starts talking to you, YOU DON'T DO SHIT! Just stay there! If he did shit wrong, get a lawyer bring it up then, get the case thrown out and give the cop a little well deserved unpaid vacation.
