LMFAHS!!
Sydney Powell, Trump’s ex lawyer, is defending herself from disbarment for filing numerous frivilous lawsuits….her defense? “Maybe my claims are true”…her evidence? “Many people believe it (after I spent months convincing them, even after I admitted it was just hyperbole not fact), and “many Republican legislatures are creating biased election laws to fight against the frauds I claimed…..so maybe it’s true.”
That’s not a defense, it’s not even a debate point, and it’s so ridiculous it might lead to her defense lawyer being disbarred!
Oh my god, your team really relied on stealing power then ignoring your own criminal acts that put you there, didn’t you? Trump’s promise to pardon the insurectionists if they return him to power is just more proof of that. With the records Trump tried to hide, steal, burn, shred, etc mostly being recovered, things are looking pretty shitty for your “destroy democracy and blame anyone else” “murderous violent sedition is legitimate political discourse” “wasn’t me” team.
What steaming pieces of feculence the right has become, top to bottom.

So anti democratic, so un-American, but that’s all your party is now, anti American obstructionism and election frauds to cling to the power you have left after Trump squandered 100% control of government with nothing to show for it but failures, economic collapse, and mass death.

Casey Juniors Coming Down The Track

We have a steam train through the redwoods near us called the Skunk Train, an old logging rail that’s now for tourists. It’s a nice day trip into the woods between Ft Bragg and Willits, sometimes with costumed performances.
There’s another awesome one just inland from Santa Cruz with a redwood loop track in the mountains and a trip from the woods to the boardwalk (and back) on offer.
The Durango to Silverton (Colorado) steam train was another memorable trip, I went around 1980.

All gorgeous and fun rides. If you have the chance, ride a steam train.

Pipe Lining - the step-by-step process - Part II

vil says...

LOL very close to what I do for a living, actually. Slightly less messy than in the video, pre-saturated, steam expanded and hardened on site, also works as a chimney flue liner.

The Big Misconception About Electricity

vil says...

Its not so much a theory. We make so many simplifying assumptions about our surroundings that the underlying physics tend to elude us.

How many people REALLY understand how a steam engine works? Sewing machine?

Stray - Gameplay Trailer

StukaFox says...

I'd just like to point out for the record that Steam has 10 games where a fox is the protagonist and only one where it's a cat. This means foxes are 10x better than cats. Cats are 10x better than people, leading to the inescapable conclusion that foxes are 100x better than people. Using advanced AI modeling, the universal constant of people being 100x better than Republicans equates to foxes being 100x . . . uh . . . hmmm . . . lotsa numbers there. Ok, to keep things simple, let's just say foxes are a million times better than everything else in the universe.

In short, if you want to be a better person -- or better anything -- be a fox.

But fuck off because we're closed.

‘This is not a zoo’: Biden administration blocks filming

"I offered plenty of information and verifiable fact from multiple sources, you did not." Did you delete them or are you imagining you did during all your hate ramblings because I don't see any links to said sources. Doubt we will speak again next year. You will be too busy with your wars. Hope you get drafted so that you can vent some of that keyboard warrior steam of yours. Yes drafting will kick in again if Biden gets his wars with the big boys. Have "fun"

The Ugly Truth Behind the Will Ferrell G.M. Commercial

just saw the percentage of steam-powered and electric cars...
(#37 @ https://www.boredpanda.com/weird-history-twitter/?utm_source=duckduckgo&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=organic)
...that were being driven by the populace. impressive.

know electric trollies were also a thing, but they were sabotaged by gasoline concerns (killed) because read the history of the one that use to run in our small mid-western town.

anyway...electric vehicles were viable then and if other concerns (like GMC) were kept at bay...100 years later we just might be driving all-electric vehicles (maybe flying them - we were supposed to have those by now).

necessity being the mother of invention, it only makes sense to keep the future (electric cars, solar-power, etc) alive. if the nation doesn't, china (or other visionaries) may capture the solar-driven land speeder market.

[trump is guilty btw. but GOP is GMC in that scenario. will be seen as a big mistake too. maybe 'big carrot' has something to do with it. he is orange.]

Houston Police Chief To Trump: Please, Keep Your Mouth Shut

I have no empathy for Liberal fools who push lies, nor the fools who drink it up.

Don't get mad learn the truth.
99% black on Black murders. 1% black on black murders.
Fix the big issue and the 1% will fade away.

Where is CNN or any the main steam media on the 99% issue? They just stoke the flames of racial division.

Fuck man, you make me so sad. I hope someday you can have some empathy for someone else besides your God King Trump.

Capitalism Didn’t Make the iPhone, You iMbecile

vil says...

1) no, trading is not capitalism.
2) kids in China did not - that is borderline silly. Creating and marketing the iphone created a DEMAND, the MARKET had been in place already (the US constitution, the fed, the dollar, cellular infrastructure, people free to buy things of their own will, the internet et cetera et cetera et cetera ad nauseam - takes a lot of preconceptions to be able to sell such a product)
3) basically yes.
4) I am sure we agree on a lot of things, this is one.
5) I understand government=socialism. The government of the US of A funds a lot of things that would be hard to justify as socialism. Maybe an argument can be made that basic research is a social investment IDK.

Basic research does not equal fast progress though. You can be as clever as Archimedes or Leonardo but steam trains require capitalism to make sense. Iphones required masses of rich crazy americans to take off - a market and demand. Without a market and demand (or a war) progress is slow as f***.

newtboy said:

1) Capitalism has been a thing since before writing was a thing.

2) kids in China made the Iphones, which created a smart phone market.

3) do you believe capitalism and the industrial revolution started at the same time.

4) Capitalism says your poor neighbors should die.

5) The government paid ...socialism, progress.

The Rise and Fall of F.E.A.R.

@ant
Nice retrospective, I had gone back and replayed the original and it's two expansions a little while back. I had totally forgotten that there even was a 2 and 3, so I snatched 2 on GOG for pocket change and I can only get 3 on Steam, so maybe later.

VFX Artist Shows You How Much Water is Actually on Earth

newtboy says...

Perhaps (interstellar steam rockets excluded), but it is often effectively removed from use.
The natural replenishment rate is well below our use rate. That's why central California is sinking, we pulled so much water from the ground that it's collapsing beneath the farm belt, while also taking so much river water the fish can't survive.

Using it usually means contaminating or evaporating it. The latter will be recouped eventually by simple condensation, but the former is often a difficult process to reverse and often can be permanent.

Sagemind said:

Using water is not the same as depleting water.
We use water, but it recycles itself. Using water doesn't mean it's been removed from the planet.
