Seems there was a contest to tweet selfies as part of a contest at the stadium, which the girls then participated in, doing what was asked of them. Fox and the Diamondbacks apologized for "shaming" the girls and offered free tickets which they declined, instead wanting the tickets to go to families of victims of abuse.

I bought this 45 rpm in 1980, back when they still sold 45's. First 45 I ever bought was "In the Year 2525" in 1969, last one I bought was the Stones "Undercover of the Night" in 1984. Since you asked.

This was Bowie's last great album. They went rapidly downhill after this one. I saw him on the Serious Moonlight tour, it was a great show but then I read this lame BS where he said he was "surprised" by the commercial success of "Let's Dance" and when he looked out into the vast stadiums of ticket buyers he wondered how many of them had actually heard a Velvet Underground song. Ya can't have it both ways, putting out a dance record for the MTV crowd and then wishing you were at a backstreet club.

Reminds me of the playing pitch at the Parkstadium in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

They can move the entire pitch out of the stadium underneath the southern stands.

Holy crap. Horrible what's happened and happening to the natives there.

Just brings to mind what I just saw on Vice the other night about how the $10 billion that was donated toward relief for the quake in Haiti and how that was a big money grab for developers who used the money to build soccer stadiums and zero homes, and all the people who were affected by the quake are still homeless with no electricity or plumbing, dying of cholera.

Makes donating seem like a bad idea.

I would think more likely her boyfriend or his girlfriend wouldn't approve of her hands on his head.

Although maybe the whole thing is just embarrassing/awkward because shes all of a sudden on national tv and her image is on giant screens for everyone to see in the stadium.

If I was going to worry about toilet aerosols it wouldn't be in my own bathroom where my toothbrush might get contaminated with a barely detectable sample of my own shit. I'd worry about breathing the air in the men's room at my local football stadium where there are 30 urinals and 20 toilets all being used by guys who have been stuffing their faces with chili dogs and nachos and drinking way too much beer.

I somehow have great doubts about 600k spectators.. For one square meter of space per spectator, that would mean 2,4 sq km of area needed to host them all... From the information i got, they had 10 grandstands, 60 000 per grandstand means ten stadiums.

Rotterdam has a population of 610,386 (2011). That means every child, adult and elderly had to be there.

Take one zero off and maybe, maybe you have that many actual unique spectators.
