Study Dispels Concealed Carry Firearm Fantasies
Wait what?
Dude, you are quite wrong. There have been many killing sprees at police stations and military bases. Are you fucking kidding me? You don't remember THE FORT HOOD murders?
bloody hell
I think people are missing the point. Guns are a deterrent. If someone wants to go on a shooting spree, they're not going to do it in a place where they know everyone is armed. That's why we have shooting sprees at schools and businesses instead of police departments or gun shows or firing ranges or military bases. The whole point of a shooting spree is to feel empowered. When you're the only one with a gun, you're in charge. When everybody has a gun, you're no longer in charge. A shooting spree becomes less appealing if you know you'll only get in a few hits before you're taken down. Shooters want to go out on their own terms (hence the suicide at the end of most shooting sprees). Even if the civilians carrying weapons don't have a lot of training, the simple fact that they are all carrying weapons is enough to deter would-be shooters.
If you want to end shooting sprees, enact a law requiring everyone to carry guns. Banning guns only ensures that criminals have them.

Piers Morgan: "You are an incredibly stupid man"
A few Korean merchants 20 years ago justifies the deaths of 100+ people (at least) due to spree killers in the intervening years. A man of principles not doubt.
I also like how he alludes that the mother of this spree killer wasn't responsible enough. This is exactly the point Morgan is trying to make. We need laws to dictate RESPONSIBLE gun ownership such as it being legally enforced to have them in safes locked away from those who are mentally ill. Its not rocket surgery.
President Obama Addresses the Newtown, Conn., School Shootin
All I know is that the "BANNING GUNS WON'T HELP!" chorus is about to start blaring their bullshit to try to drown out reality.
So to undercut that horseshit before it starts, today there was also an attack on a Chinese school, carried out by a madman with a knife. 22 were wounded, but nobody died.
Seems like using a gun really does make crazy people's killing sprees a lot more deadly.
Romney Asked 14 Times if he'd De-fund FEMA
@Zyrxil No, no. You misunderstood. I guess I should have used the sarcasm box. I was alluding to Romney's silence as a tacit message of "now if not the time to address statements that are entirely pertinent simply because they will make me look bad and I will hide behind the emotion of grief for victims as a cover for why I won't talk about it".
After the cinema massacre a few months ago the gun groups spouted that line. There has been nearly 1 shooting spree per week since then. If not being able to debate an issue (or take someone to task over previous statements) based on the sensitivity to victims then such things will never be discussed. Romney needs to either stand behind what he said or retract it and say he was wrong in this case.
Tom Hanks Tells Michael Clarke Duncan Anecdote at Clarke's F
Fair point @Hive13. I got a good smacking once or twice and it didn't do me any harm (assuming my occasional murder sprees aren't a symptom of that). There's a general point which is that in an ideal world, you would never have cause to strike a child - but this is not an ideal world.
I'm a little uneasy at hearing about someone hitting their child with a frying pan but I'm not going to condemn the woman from my middle class suburban haven - especially as this is a second hand account about 40 years after the fact!

Bingo. Pretty much all of them were the ZP vids. They messed around with their embeds apparently.

Yeah, I got my Bronze back two days ago. My comment list since then is an almost uninterrupted steam of * deads and * lengths, just because I can. I suspect most of the ones on your list are the Zero Punctuation videos. I noticed a few dead ones and went through Zifnab's ZP playlist.

Holy crap, you're on a killing spree!
Thanks for pointing my dead ones out. I was able to fix a bunch of 'em.

Yeah! Rev got his bronze back! Thanks, David Bowie.
Now to go on a downvoting spree! (Ok, maybe not. Perhaps I'll just go "dead" some stuff.)

Koch Brothers Paid To Get Paul Ryan On Romney Ticket?
I think this might be the first time I've actually seen TYT backing off on a hot issue and carefully reconsidering the legitimacy of their sources before going on a rage spree. Usually they just go off on a red-faced rant and end the segment with 'fuck this government, fuck this country, the whole thing is fucked'.
japan builds its first real mech - kuratas
I would certainly cause a shooting spree because of smiling.

"Don't go on a killing spree by smiling to much."
Sage advice.
