Seriously though, this was well written. The internet is a great infinitely blind social experiment where we learn how people are when there's some form of anonymity and distancing from each other.

I wish I could say I only act like an asshole on the internet. I'm not over-the-top trollish, but I do say some dick things. Unfortunately, I'm actually a dick in real life. I've come to terms with it, but I don't try to be somebody I'm not while under the guise of some "clever" screen name and cute avatar. I have the feeling those that do act out in such a horrible manner are miserable cunts that have issues with people in real life that they take out on people over the internet. You don't need to be a psychologist to figure that out.

This is not a social experiment, it's a pathetic attempt to CAUSE controversy. Why don't they do some REAL undercover journmalism, set these people that it actually happens to up with hidden cameras, catch a few of the real racist on camera instead of just filming actors... is REAL racism too much for them?

I wish we could get past the idea that not wanting this content on VideoSift is somehow an act of puritanical condemnation and a statement on what's "offensive". Can we, please?

Human sexuality is a complex issue- and for many reasons- humans often require discretion around a graphic depiction of sex in a video format. This may be because we choose to delay its presentation to juveniles around us who, as carers, we feel are not ready for the content. It may be because we are dealing with the psychology of our own sexuality - OR it may be for many other reasons.

Can we please accept though, as humans, that we may choose to prevent the display of graphic sexual material- without it making us prudish puritans -or without it making us censorious nazis?

Can the people who have gotten offended by this discussion- try and rappel down from their high horses of social justice and see that human sexuality is a special case? Videos of people fucking are not the guy standing in front of the tank in Tiananmen.

^this is quite a telling social experiment-We can see here how in the one camp, we have name-calling, sophomoric rants on the impossibility of a premeditated demolition which indicate the stages of grief stopping off at denial tinctured with rage. In another, a thoughtful yet equally as sardonic rant complete with multimedia assist, not unlike the complete bullshit promulgated by some "official" entity charged with telling the robots and wage slaves what to think and how to think.
